“Normally was not a fan of fried chicken or fried food. But this was phenomenal, food was made with nothing but pure effort and taste, service was absolutely through the roof. Very polite and understanding staff, if you’re confused about what to get and what it’s like trying new things this staff will definitely assist you. This shop is also running through new management and they are doing an amazing job running popeyes, definitely will be come back again sometime soon.“

Running by it seems like they are brothers and sisters siblings, always very friendly and efficient. I often request more drumsticks and they never disappoint me. That been said not all Popeyes are as up to their standards but this location is very good.

“This Danforth location has restored our faith in Popeyes. We talked with Bhoomika on the phone as we had a couple questions prior to ordering. Bhoomika was very nice and polite. “Visiting from Louisiana, I stopped by this Popeye's location, I was very excited to get a taste of home.

“I had the ghost pepper chicken sandwich tonight after a hard night of Uber work. The sandwich was exceptional as well as the popcorn shrimp that they had served with barbecue sauce. I got to tell you that the sandwich and the shrimps were exceptional. They were not too greasy and they were well made. I wanted to thank Saad, Grishma and Saima for cooking a delicious chicken for me. As of now I am going to come for the chicken breast sandwich to Popeyes. Through their professionalism and awesome cooking talents they made me a long term Popeyes costumer.

Parking: It is street parking and it is awesome. Even though it is on the street parking but they don't give you a ticket.“

“This place had one cashier and one cook at the back. So busy at the time i went. The man at the front had to take orders and pack food for orders while running around to grab things in the back. He remained calm without being angry when people were waiting a long time. It would of been better to have two people to manage at dinner but who knew it gets busy and the ttc kicked all of us out of the subway due to track injuries so we all got out to find some food for dinner instead of waiting in the rain outside. It was the longest wait for my mobile order at popeyes. I never ordered in advance online until that time.“

“I just went and got a burger combo for take out today (June 8th, 2026 around 12pm). The cashier who took my order (their name tag read Meriam or Mariam) was so so so so so so welcoming and nice. She was clear when letting me know that the choices for sides include more than just the fries.“

“I stopped by the newly reopened Popeyes at 553 Bloor St. right in the heart of The Annex after hearing it was under new management, and the difference is immediately noticeable.

The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and my order came out fresh and surprisingly fast. The chicken was hot, crispy, and cooked perfectly, the fries were seasoned just right, and everything tasted like it was made to order.

It’s clear the new management is putting real effort into turning this location around. If you had a bad experience here in the past, I’d definitely recommend giving it another chance. The improvement in service, cleanliness, and overall quality is obvious.
