“Food was incredible overall! We got the Moto Eggs, Dyno Wings, Miso Steak, and Miso Ice Cream. The Moto Eggs were my favourite, and the Dyno Wings are definitely worth trying. The steak was a little overcooked, chewy, and felt like an item you can get anywhere so I’d probably try something else next time. The miso ice cream was interesting—almost like salted caramel/butterscotch with a hint of matcha—but got a bit rich after a few bites. The vibe was great for a date night, and even with the music and busy atmosphere, you could still easily hear your table. Service was amazing—super attentive, kind, and always checking in without being overbearing. We arrived around 9:35 on a Tuesday and were called to be seated at the bar by 9:57.“

“Went for a birthday dinner. The food was amazing and so well priced it was shocking. Nothing we ordered disappointed. The service was friendly, efficient and seemingly effortless. Atmosphere was charming and cozy. This would be a great spot to eat in chillier weather after the sun goes down so you could really appreciate the atmosphere and lanterns. Gotta love a dinner for two where we ate so much, had cocktails and sake and the bill was under $200 with tip. If you are on a low carb diet, this will work for you. Crispy cabbage fritters are so good its crazy.“

“I was just at Zakkushi on Carlton, terrible service there！！！made me leave before even eating. I came next door to Kintaro, I’m so glad I did. The food here is much better, the flavors are balanced (unlike Zakkushi, which was way too salty), and the service was genuinely friendly and welcoming. This place beats Zakkushi in every way. Highly recommend Kintaro—skip Zakkushi and come here instead.“

“Always come here every wednesday for their BOGO deal for yuugi torched salmon sushi! Their service is great and they always treat us nicely every time we come. On sundays, they also have omurice which is always a treat, definitely recommend trying that if you’re hungry! If its not a sunday, the omurice poutine is good too. The karage is very normal, my friends really like the house sauce!“

“It was amazing. We ordered the chicken nanban• the egg salad was cold at first but inside the chicken was really hot once I took a big bite it became warm and creamy. I also enjoyed the pork belly donburi. The staff we very attentive and service was fast.“

“Got the 10 pc mokutan set which was pretty good. I don’t normally eat mushrooms but the grilled shiitake mushroom was really good. Service was very good from both waitresses and food came pretty fast. I liked the booth seating. The free matcha ice cream was u fortunately super disappointing.“

“First time trying this place out. We all think their food are all quite delicious; the service team are friendly, courteous and attentive; ambiance is nice; and their washrooms are very clean, tidy and inclusive too!

I would give this place a 4.6 rating. It would be great if there could be a couple more desert options, and there are limited parking there as well, so it might be challenging to park there on a busy day. But all in all, it was a lovely dining experience.“

“Came here for my boyfriend’s 25th birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The hostess was a gem and so sweet. The selection of toppings for oysters was unmatched and I would highly recommend the lobster roll-even if you can be picky with sushi sometimes it was delicious. I want to give a very special shout out to Derek- he gave the best recommendations, was awesome to chat to and overall made our experience amazing. Will 100% be coming back :)“
