Looks great on the inside and seems pretty authentic. They check all the boxes for a Japanese restaurant for me. Asahi beer on tap, tasty yakatori including hatsu (chicken hearts), and they make lemon sour cocktails.Everything was great, but the lemon sour wasn’t as tasty and refreshing as they were in Japan.
Best izakaya I've visited in Toronto. The food selection was amazing and very tasty. They had an array of drink options as well, and even on a Wednesday night, the place was packed.The vibe and ambience of this izakaya is absolutely amazing and the staff are beyond nice!! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city!

I adore Gonzo Izakaya. Fantastic atmosphere, kind staff, great food. I come as often as I can. Everything in the menu is delicious. Can't choose wrong.
