It was very pleasant on a quiet night. The staff were most courteous and helpful. Minor items - we were 2 at a table for 4, other place settings should have been removed; empty soup dish left on table after it was finished but overall service was very good.
We had a quiet table, as requested, but the meal and service did not live up to expectations. First, service was slow. We ordered the famous mushroom soup. The kitchen was not busy because the other occupied table was ordering drinks. Since the soup was already made, why did it take ten minutes to bring us the bowls? Secondly, I ordered the eggplant lasagne. I don't know how they did it, but the slices of eggplant were tough, so tough that I could not cut them or eat them. So...read full review

Old world charm that must be preserved.Great food, service location and ambiance.I wish their lunch menu would have offered a bigger variety of food items, I'd love to have a daily/weekly menu special items set (hint, hint...).Parking can be challenging, especially after changes made by the city on Bloor Street.This is a perfect place to have a special occasion celebration.
