Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Hy’s Vancouver is always dependable. Our waiter was a very pleasant, well-spoken, and well-trained fellow named Christophe. He prepared us a round of Caesar salads table side and his wine service was impeccable. My NY strip was perfect and my son enjoyed his dry-aged steak very much (gotta try it at least once). This type of experience is the norm at Hy’s Vancouver, not the exception.
Amazing staff, 5 star service and the food is delicious. I highly recommend.

The lounge is lively, especially on nights when events like baseball games are on. The food has been described as excellent, with highlights like the classic cheese toast, tableside Caesar salad, and Beef Wellington. The steak Diane, prepared tableside, is also a favorite. Guests have enjoyed the beef tartare along with their steak entrees, making it an ideal choice for business dinners.

While the wine list could use more variety, the cocktails remain a strong point. Service is attentive and swift, with servers who seem to appear just when needed.
