“This place is your typical comfort food and the fish and veins were what I remembered as a kid. Even the decor is retro and not fancy. Very much a diner. It was nice to see that the fries I was served DIDN'T include little bits and chunks of overcooked fries. They were all well done. I ordered the halibut and it was cooked just right. Thanks.“

The side of couscous was the perfect complement—light, fluffy, and seasoned just right. I also tried the grilled fish—it was perfectly cooked, moist and flaky with just the right amount of char and seasoning that brought out the natural flavor of the fish. What really made the experience memorable though was the kindness of the owner, who surprised us with a complimentary serving of the potato side. Such a thoughtful gesture that shows they truly care about their customers. Amazing food, warm service— Can’t wait to come back!“

“Top class service, tasty food, great wine, and just a wonderful experience. I called for a reservation for my girl's birthday a week in advance and the owner remembered without me saying a word when we arrived. At the end he brought her a complimentary delicious French vanilla ice cream topped with a macaron and raspberries filled with caramel. That's world class. As for the main meal, we ordered crab cakes, scallops, and I had the ribeye and she had the striploin. It was cooked exactly the way we love it and the beef quality is absolutely fantastic. The Chilean wine we had with it was fantastic. My desert was a warm pecan pie a la mode. Just delicious. This is the kind of place you would want to be at for a special birthday. We will 100% be back. Service like this isn't common in Toronto and I think you will enjoy it as much as we did.“

“A small town diner feel with the heart and soul of papas cookin'. Portions were really large. The quality of the food was perfection..I mean look at that crisp 👌. The only downside is no coleslaw but regardless we really enjoyed ourselves and would come back again if in the area!“

“A large Club group of 40 had lunch at the Red Lobster on the Queensway! We had a separate party room for our group. The service was just great and the servers were very pleasant and accommodating. We received our meals in a timely fashion considering the size of the group. The menu is very extensive but varied which serves well to many different tastes and appetites. Everyone in the group really enjoyed their luncheon choices and most had to ask for takeaway cartons. We had couple or individual bills and they were handled efficiently by the staff. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon!“

“This is a hidden gem on the Queensway, some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had - Everything is cooked to order and absolutely delicious, you can’t go wrong with anything you try on their menu. “My favourite spot in Etobicoke to grab Jamaican food! Brown stew fish and bammy is my absolute favourite, made fresh to order. I’ve also tried other things but I love the fish from here. Prices are reasonable and you get generous portions.

Taudo is also super sweet and you can definitely tell he loves doing what he does.

“I recently held a business meeting at this restaurant, and while the food was excellent, the overall experience left much to be desired. The dishes were delicious, but the service felt rushed. To add to the disappointment, we were asked to leave abruptly (15 minutes after paying), a surprising and unwelcome end to our meal. I understand the need to turn tables but this was completely unprofessional. There were 3 couples waiting for tables as we left and yet the restaurant could accommodate hundreds of guests. As an out-of-town (out of country) visitor, I've never encountered such a situation before, leaving me with mixed feelings about the establishment.“

“2026 April - The food here is very hot and good. The waitresses are very casual and friendly. The restaurant is run down so don't eat-in if that bothers you.

Check your take-out bags before you leave. I ordered fish and fries and gravy to go. I was very disappointed when many hours later I cracked the bag only to find zero gravy. DISAPPOINTED ‼️
