“I was skeptical about trying this place since I've been to other, like restaurants. I was very pleasantly surprised. The seafood was of good quality and it was cooked perfectly! Everything ww had tasted great and was served quickly. We did sit a while before getting our bills, but other then that it was great. I will definitely go back again!“
“The best Chinese food in Durham by far.Their food is delicious (black pepper chicken is now my new favourite) and they really fill the containers! The prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Most importantly the staff have always been amazing. I’ve been ordering for over 5 years and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy (they include lots of pepper every time that I ask, they’ve rushed to make an order right after opening so I could get it to deliver it for lunch, their delivery times are always a few minutes early, etc.) this definitely is a local small business whose deserves five stars and support! Thank you guys again!“
“The positives are:- Delicious fish and chips (halibut and cod) ordered- Coleslaw was great, appreciated the non-mayonaise dressing- Restaurant is extremely clean and great for dining in as there is lots of spaceThe only negative is that we felt rushed, even though the restaurant was empty and they were processing lots of take out orders. We were not asked if we wanted coffee/tea and/or dessert, just the bill brought after our meal.A bit expensive for fish n chips“
“Seafood rice. If there is anything that you remember from my review it’s the Captains Boil Seafood Rice. The Captains Boil Seafood Rice is amazing and my favourite thing to order. The food here is really good but the way it is served in bags is boring. I mean seriously they put it in a plastic bag and charge a fortune for it. If you’re going to eat something get the seafood rice and go.“
“We just celebrated a family event at KB and everything from the service to the food was amazing! We are so happy that we chose to celebrate here.We were a group of 10 and every single one of us loved our meals and polished off our plates. The dishes were all lovely, so much flavour and perfect portion sizes. They went above and beyond to cater to our toddler’s requests which we really appreciated. The menu is great for big groups as there is something for everyone, but it would also make for the perfect date night spot. We would absolutely recommend and look forward to visit again in the future!“
“Ordered twice now; really enjoyed the green curry and coconut rice. Very rich broth. Pad Thai is a good dish tooI ordered the satay but would recommend chicken as beef seems to be drier.Overall will continue to order as the food is definately worth it“
“Went to Jasper's today and the owner voluntarily disclosed that the oil they use is beef oil, rendering the food impermissible for those on Halal diets. We tried this place a couple years ago (not knowing about the oil) and the food was absolutely scrumptious. Our go-to used to be the fried Haddock and fried Halibut.I'm writing this review today because of their honesty. Not many business owners have this quality in today's day and age.“
“Great lunch at The Port! Our server Cassie was exemplary. Her cocktail mixing skills were divine. The Honey-Spiced Old- Fashion went down smoothly and deliciously. The food was top notch and definitely hit the spot for a mid-day meal. Our Brussel sprout app made me love veggies again. Great atmosphere right on the lake. Couldn't ask for more from a restaurant on a sunny Saturday afternoon.“
“For my birthday I went to the keg and had the best experience. Mercedes which was the hostess made me feel so welcomed she was the absolute sweetest, and my waiter chase was the most nicest hardworking waiter I have ever met. And gave me a free birthday cake and the best experience there.“
“Always so busy! It's hard to pay that much when it's just like any other restaurant. The Keg used to be different. You felt important. The staff seem slammed all the time. The quality of food has declined as well. Blackened chicken wasn't that at all, and seemed rushed. Once a group of 5 of us went out for a friend's birthday. When we mentioned it to our server, he exclaimed that the Billy Miner pie would be there for us at the end of the meal to celebrate our friend. He mentioned it again later as well but to our surprise the dessert was on the bill! We didn't say anything, because we didn't want to ask for a freebie, even though it's pretty standard practice - Keg? Birthday? Billy Miner for your birthday. it was disappointing that's all.“
