“First time here and we cannot recommend this place enough. staff? warm and friendly. atmosphere? calm and inviting. food? to quote my 10 year old: "it tastes like happiness" we had the seafood boil with the sea salt signature sauce, lobster, crab, shrimp, mussels, corn, potatoes, and we added noodles and crawfish. I think my kid thanked me seven times during this meal for bringing her here. we will 100% be back.“

“I tried The Brooklin Halibut House for breakfast. It is located close to two breakfast chain restaurants, so for a fish and chip speciality chain, the breakfast competition is tough.

I went for the low $5.95 special and was really pleased. Perfectly cooked, friendly, efficient service, top quality food, and the home fries were the best I have had in a long time. Hang, the owner, and his wife, are very pleasant and friendly as well.

I went back another time for breakfast with several family members. Same great food and service. And the hidden gem is that the breakfast menu is huge, with the same items as the nearby breakfast chains, at very competitive prices.

The place is spotless as well, including the washrooms. Great place overall.“

Didn’t get a chance to try their haddock so not sure if it’s worth the ~$5 premium but I loved my dish and would definitely go back when in the area and recommend it to others in the area too.

The dining area is relatively small as they only have 2 tables so I’d consider this primarily a takeout establishment but I was lucky to get a seat and enjoy mine fresh.

The lady was kind and took my order over the phone so I didn’t have to wait long to get it was I was in a bit of a rush too.“

“I was plesantly surprised with this restaurant. I am always a bit hesitant with older restaurants like this, I worry about cleanliness and food quality. But I gave it a shot and I am happy I did. The service was great, everyone was friendly. I got the souvlaki dinner and it was delicious. Id say one of the top souvlaki dinners in Durham. The portions were huge, i took quite a bit home. We ordered only dim sum. The quality is good overall, a bit pricy but that’s expected for a casino location.

The servers didn’t seem especially friendly at first but when you get to know them they are quite nice.

I think it’s good to have some Chinese food to cater to the demographics.“
