“The restaurant is close to UFT, has a large smoked meat area just like in the south! I ordered the brisket, bone back rib, and strip Korean; it was tender and seasoned well!! I've been here a few times, and I'll be back here again before the end of summer with some friends.“

“We came because you have good reviews. We found out that Gyu Hito is an amazing go-to-place for delicious Japanese AYCE BBQ! The restaurant has a modern feel to it and the staff is incredibly attentive to our food needs. Such good service! The food itself is so tasty (so many different types of seasoned meats) and there are many yummy sides you can order as well! The most thing I like is the fruit tea, best combination with BBQ. Dessert is also something to look forward to because you can choose your favourite Melona popsicle and have it with a sweet creme brule dessert!“

“Great food, service, and atmosphere. Prices were fair and food was authentic and delicious! The meat skewers were a favourite :) Servers were incredibly kind and very helpful in accommodating a toddler with a high chair and special plate and utensils. Very clean and fun atmosphere as they were playing a World Cup game on a large projector. Works recommend and come again.“

“Came here for lunch with some friends and had a decent time, the meat was well seasoned and vegetables fresh. The meat portion sizes seemed smaller than in the past for the price, and service was a bit hit-and-miss. While our server was initially quite prompt, she forgot we had ordered drinks and rice until after everything else had already come and we had started eating. For some reason, even though we were given a table with two grills, they only gave us one grill surface with side dishes (egg, garlic, kimchi, cheese corn). One of our friends was vegan and he only got a small flat-iron pan to grill his vegan set. When we asked if he could also get the same sides but with no cheese in the corn, she said that it wasn't possible but didn't explain why. Overall, it was a good experience, but the service felt a bit of a let-down considering the price of the meal and how few customers were in the restaurant at the time.“

“Went to Uncle Sal’s Hot Chicken and Ribs last Saturday with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. We drove over an hour to get there, and it was definitely worth it!!
The food was 🔥! Their Bbq Brisket dirty fries are absolutely delicious, and both the chicken and beef brisket sandos were so good. The brisket was mouthwatering, tender, flavourful, and cooked to perfection.

The owner was very welcoming, kind, and professional. His service was excellent, and you can truly see the care and effort he puts into what he does. Highly recommend Uncle Sal’s Hot Chicken and Ribs to anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a lovely experience. We will definitely be coming back again! Thank you for everything!“

“This is a nice, authentic Chinese restaurant! The food was good, and surprisingly, it came out very quickly. We walked in without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes for a table for two. I’m not sure if they take reservations.

The restaurant was quite loud and crowded, which was a little uncomfortable, but overall, we were still very satisfied with the food and would come back.“

“I tried the Bolani & chicken meal, it was extremely delicious. The food was super fresh. The service was excellent and welcoming. The food was a little bit expensive but I think it was worth it i enjoyed everything. They also have a wide range of selection of food to choose from and good options for children or large groups. There is also free parking available“

“Lady owner was super friendly. Bbq rice meals were tasty and very reasonably priced and she gave us free homemade soup that was very flavorful. Decided to try their soya sauce chicken leg as it was freshly cooked and recommended by owner. She even told us to reheat day after using a steamer and boy was it great tasting. Probably best soya sauce chicken I ever had. Fantastic hole in the wall bbq place!“

“There's a tiny little Chinese BBQ shop in the north end of Scarborough, on McCowan Rd., called New May Hong Yuen BBQ. Their food is very good and their prices are very affordable. Their portions are HUGE!On this visit, I actually didn't get any BBQ meats. I know, that's kinda odd. I did, however, get a couple of their cooked dishes - Sweet and Sour Pork, and Chow Mein with Chicken.I was very surprised at how heavy the containers were. They were both jam packed with food! There was easily enough for four adult servings. This turned out to be a great deal, all for under $15! I will definitely be back...“

It's a little bit of a hassle to come here for me because I live downtown, but I'd go out of my way to come here again.“

The roast pork skin wasn’t crispy, and the BBQ pork tastes quite different from the usual style I’m used to. There’s also almost always a long line. The cashier could be friendlier and provide better customer service.

It’s a small food court with several other vendors, but this is the only place that seems to have a lineup every time we visit, so they’re definitely popular. Overall, it’s a decent deal, but there’s room for improvement in both the food and service.“

“I’ve been to Ho Ban Korean Restaurant more than five times, and every visit has been a great experience. The staff are always friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in and are always happy to help with anything you need.

The food is consistently good, and the service never disappoints. I also appreciate how clean and well-kept the restaurant is, including the washroom. It’s clear that they take pride in both their food and customer service.

“Friendly staff and quick service. Food comes out hot and fresh in a fast time. Not for the spice intolerant, all the food all had a nice kick and the chili oil definitely hits you.

Lamb and beef skewers were our favourite. Pork belly was alright, not bad but wouldn’t order next time. Chicken popcorn was good and crispy. Sweet and sour pork had a great sauce with it and still remained crispy which was good! Everything else was okay, nothing terrible but no stand outs.

It’s cool that they have their own beer on tap too. Washrooms were clean. Parking is hard to find - free lot but fills up fast.“

“Located in an old plaza. Sam Woo is a time-honored brands. I think every Chinese if immigrated more than 40 years will know them as well.
Food: I bought the bbq pork and duck. BBQ Pork is salty .No sweet maltose taste and it's not my favorite. BBQ Duck are better. It'd juicy and tasty. A compliment for the table chef is he very polite and willing to answer all my questions. I will come again for trying their roast pork later.“
