“The sauce on the chicken is incredible. Inject that right into my veins. Chicken is cooked crispy, my preference, but ask for lighter if not yours. Rice and potatos are excellent and fit the flavor profile of the chicke well. Salad dressing too tangy in my opinion. Great pricing.“
“I recently came in for a weekday lunch with a friend and tried their set lunch for 2 (ssam-bap jungsik). The servers were very friendly and helpful with ordering and they made sure that banchan refill (limited to 2 times) was done promptly. The banchans were all were prepared; my friend who tried Korean food for the first time loved the eggplant side dish. I loved that they offered the soybean stews in individual earthen bowls. Their spicy and non-spicy pork bulgogi were also very well done with just the perfect amount of marinade. Accompanying veggies for wraps were also plentiful so we didn't have to ask for a refill. We also ordered steamed Korean dumplings which were packed with meat, tofu and veggies. This was so delicious! I don't normally order dumplings when I go out because it's usually the store bought ones that are steamed or friend but here, it was made in house and the quality was definitely there. I am looking forward to returning to try out more of their new menu items soon.“

“The food is worth for the money. It comes with a drink which is a plus. But the BBQ tastes does confuse me a bit. It's not Chinese BBQ favour nor Taiwanese BBQ favour like other store. The portion is good. Not the best, but good for a try.“
“Came here with a friend for the first time and must say it is pretty decent. The restaurant could use more space to accommodate more dine in customers. Wait times for food is doable. We ordered 2 pounds of creamy garlic wings and ribs. Hands down the best wings I had. It was so crispy way better than St. Louis. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried the ribs myself but will be back.Recommend for anyone.“

“Located inside Empress Walk on the second floor, always wanted to see how it stacked up to Gyubee. We were charged holiday price for Easter Monday lunch, which came out to about $40 each after tax and tip.Food was pretty good overall. Our group really enjoyed the miso marinated kalbi short rib and ordered a lot of it. The kimchi here is pretty good, but the bibimbap isn't as good. Also don't love that you have to pick between soft serve or melona for dessert. Service was decent, the staff were pretty attentive about grill changes but not so much about removing empty dishes from our table.One thing we didn't love was we ordered chicken thighs and when it came, it was mixed in the same plate with other meats like beef and sausage. Just better in my opinion to separate them to reduce the risk of getting sick.“
“Excellent food! I've had the beef burgers, chicken burgers, and spicy beef burger - all great! Spicy beef burgers are a personal fav. Entire menu is halal which is great. The staff are super friendly and it's a definite go-to spot!“
“This place is tucked away a little so you would rarely see it…however, The staff were amazing here, the prices reasonable and to top it off the food was amazingly good.I will say that the pulled pork was probably the best I had - very flavourful and not sweet like the closest competitor around here - the cornbread was excellent (would be better with gravy), it had like Cardamum and other spices on it and was definitely one of the better tasting cornbreads I’ve had (edges were crispy, inside soft and fluffy)Here is the kicker though the Nashville hot chicken is by and far the best I’ve had in the GTA - warning it is hot hot - and the spice builds up on the tongue - but it was too late I ate too much before I found out (because it tasted so good) - so, if your a fan of good spice just get this trust me you won’t be disappointed at all…at this point I have to go and try everything else they have“
“The italian sausage was great, lots of flavour especially the fennel.Mac n cheese was good but the cheese sauce is a bit on the gritty side, not creamy.Pulled pork was very good and juicy but lacking depth of smoke flavour.Brisket was quite salty and not very tender, but it could have been because I was given a cut from the flat and not the point. Smokiness was there.Bbq sauce is heavy on the tomato/ketchup side, could be more balanced.Overall a decent bbq place.“

So give them a try!--Used to be amazing, authentic Szechuan food in a casual and friendly environment. However, in the last year, the owner has changed the atmosphere so that its more like a dive bar (dim, loud music (usually either country or rap that doesn't lend itself to conversation) so its not a nice place to go if you want to have a nice date. While the BBQ is still excellent, the other dishes have gone downhill flavour wise (blander than they used to be) which has been a huge disappointment as this used to be a favorite local place of mine.“

My partner and I had heard of this place from many articles that had been praising the service and food. The atmosphere feels like you’re stepping into a spot that resembles many small restaurants that I’ve visited in Asia.Staff was quick, attentive, and helpful. The food was great and not overly expensive. It was a great dining experience to add into the mix of our regular spots.The staff gave us a great glass noddle dish to try as they were testing it out, we absolutely loved it and hope that they add it to their menu.Parking: There is a small parking lot around the back of the building. We didn’t have trouble getting a spot there, but there are limited spaces available.“

“Went in for the milk fish but it was not available until later that day, yet there was no disappointment. We ordered some cold beers on tap that were delicious and on sale. Then we decided on the pork nachos and a skewer plate. Holly smokes the food was outstanding! I have never tasted a giant pile of awesome nachos prepared that way before. Wow, you got to check it out. The skewers were amazing and that unique Filipino love sauce was all there. We were treated like kings while we ate and drank our faces off. I am so glad we dropped by early in the day, by night there must be a line up to get in there. Yes, it is that good. I can't wait to get back and hit the rest of the menu and damn certain to get my share of the milk fish. This place is a GEM. Limited in space, so choose your time wisely.“

So far we have tried their skewers, tons of side dishes (can we ask for more? not sure) and couple of kimchi fried rice. These are all fantastic! Our most favourites are the Kimchi/Roe Fried Rice and the Small Intestines. We want to try their pork belly BBQ table next time. Highly recommended!Only issue we had last time is the parking in the area. I forgot to ask if there’s parking at the back. Had to park a couple of blocks away in the residential area. if you are taking transit, it’s pretty easy to go to, there’s a couple of bus stops very near the restaurant.“

“This is our second visit to the restaurant, and similar to last time, the staffs are very pleasant and friendly. The food taste amazing and the restaurant is cozy and clean. We had the eggplant appetizer and the koobideh and chicken leg kebab. The meat was super juicy and the flavor was spot on! Our toddler who doesn't eat veg normally, loves their barley (carrot) soup and finished the whole bowl by himself! We will definitely come back again!“
“Their barbecue pork is honestly my favorite out of all the places I have had barbecur pork at. I haven't been here in a few years but dropped by recently. Pleasantly surprised to find that their quality has not changed at all!I am not a fan of rice so I just order barbecue pork, and a side of their ginger green onion sauce to go. Typically, if I'm feeling like making a meal, I'll utilize those two items to make a delicious stir fried noodle dish but been feeling lazy recently so I've been using it for open faced sandwiches on sourdough ✨Oh! They do also have two sizes when it comes to their ginger green onion sauce, and the ladies do usually confirm with you which size you want before they charge you.They weigh the meat they chop up for you but I'll attach a photo of their pricing as or January 2024 for ease of referencing.“

Oxtail was super tasty and flavorful and the coleslaw was nice too! $20 but huge portions, lasted for 2 servings for me, highly recommended!“
“Was looking for a quick bite in the area and Fillis came up on gmaps. Decided to give this independent place a try rather a chain. Ordered the burger as recommended by the young shopkeep. It didn't disappoint. Burger was satisfying and the fries were a great colour - golden. Indicates this place uses fresh oil. Will come back and try their chicken next time. Friendly service.“

No “uhs” or “uhms” here.Great specials including today’s bogo wings. Such huge portions and totally delicious. The onion rings are so good and very reasonable batter to onion ratio. The size of the wings are big but not too big where you’re concerned if it’s genetically modified. Brisket sandwich is huge. Portion is enough for 2 sandwiches. My husband loved it. He’s the real difficult one to impress and he said this is the new spot. I can’t wait to try the ribs on Wednesdays!I have no regrets coming here for the first time and it definitely won’t be my last !“
“I went to Daldongnae (Empress) for my birthday with 13 friends, and it was great! I called them to reserve the tables 3 days in advance. I even arrived a little earlier than the reservation, and they seated us no problem. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend this location! “Personally this is the best Korean bbq place i have ever had. I have been to a few Korean bbq places but for me no other place is better than Korean grill house. Never have been disappointed in this place also been in other location on younge street, both the old and the new location. There is something about their sauce anything tastes really good when dipping whatever you have cooked in it. The next you know you already had 4 or 7 bowls of rice. Would recommend this place good to bring big group of friends and the whole family. If haven’t tried Korean bbq before this is the best place to start. This will give you a better comparison when trying a different Korean bbq place.“

The chicken is flavorful and the skin is crispy, the parisienne potatoes are always great, the hot sauce is top notch (definitely worth the separate charge); even something as simple as the salad dressing is tasty yet light.Secondary items are also good: cod cookies, shrimp patties alright, and the classic custard tarts will have everyone licking their fingers - just warm them up in the air-frier and dust cinnamon on them.Staff is nice but service could be faster. Food carries well in the packaging, so take-out is alright.“
