We ate here the last two nights, because we absolutely had to come back for more before leaving the city. I am so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- this is a gem! The daily specials are always tasty, with a good range of flavours and prices. I’ve always enjoyed the marinated cod, and today the pumpkin croquette was also very good! I always order from the menu of the day.
A cold beer, dim lighting coupled with relaxing music and tasty fare makes the atmosphere really lovely. I really recommend it!

I'm pretty sure I've been to every Guu in Canada now but this is the only one in Toronto.
Totally different vibe from the ones in Toronto, feels a bit more intimate with its super dark lighting, no mid evening happy hour and high up chairs.
Doesn't feel like an izakaya where you smash back beers with the boys, more of my friends are pretty tame and I'll have a couple of drinks.
If you're coming here on a date, get a bar seat, their table seats are VERY uncomfortable...read full review
