“Even tho its a takeout place. The aesthetics are really appealing. The sushi and sashimi I’ve gotten so far (been buying for nearly 2 years) has been fresh and no strong smells. The packaging seems to changes seasonly so it not always the same so thats fun too. Staff are also quite friendly and will tell you if they can or not produce the order. I’ve had places tell me yes and when its pick up time, its “out of stock now”“

We walked in wednesday at noon and we enjoyed the space by ourselves happily. the black garlic soup ramens are good but we are disappointed that they are charging extra for green tea and the green tea comes in lukewarm and they use plastic tea bags. Will never order the tea again. Staff is very good though.“

“The owners are super sweet and friendly. I've heard such great things about their handrolls and gave it a try. They were definitely delicious, most importantly the salmon reacher the bottom!!! Also ordered a tray and the quality and cleanliness was there. The shop is tucked away in the back of the second floor or Lagham. Well worth the walk though!!! Especially, for these prices. “Haru shabu shabu has a large selection of soup base, appetizers, meats, and veggies. We had the spicy and sukiyaki base and enjoyed both. With a green P parking across the street and subway station in the building, it’s super accessible. We didn’t have any problems with wait times around lunch time. Overall a great dining experience!“

“We came because you have good reviews. We found out that Gyu Hito is an amazing go-to-place for delicious Japanese AYCE BBQ! The restaurant has a modern feel to it and the staff is incredibly attentive to our food needs. Such good service! The food itself is so tasty (so many different types of seasoned meats) and there are many yummy sides you can order as well! The most thing I like is the fruit tea, best combination with BBQ. Dessert is also something to look forward to because you can choose your favourite Melona popsicle and have it with a sweet creme brule dessert!“

“It’s been a long time since my last visit. The service is still top-notch, but the dinner premium set has noticeably fewer food options now. The 4-broth pot is too small, and the vegetables are cut so long that it's really hard to fit them into the compartments to cook. The most frustrating part is that they got rid of the crème brûlée and milk pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Saw this place on TikTok late at night and booked it on impulse, no regrets.

There were three lunch omakase options available that day, and we went with the sashimi nigiri lunch. The course started with miso soup, followed by a sashimi appetizer, then 8 pieces of nigiri and a temaki. We even got ice cream at the end. It doesn’t look like a lot, but it was surprisingly filling.

The omakase was served in a separate room that seats around 10 people (I think?). Service was attentive throughout, servers constantly checked in to make sure everything was okay and we enjoyed every part of the experience, even the lady at the door was super friendly. At $55, it’s an insane deal. No super high-end fish obviously, but the experience and setting alone make it more than worth it. Highly recommend!!“

“Cotolet is my go to spot for Japanese pork cutlet. Always consistently amazing with very light flaking on the cutlets. All the sauces are awesome and tasty. Would definitely recommend coming if you're in the mood for some comfort food!“

“I just brought home a platter of sushi rolls from this place. The sushi rolls were delicious, and my family ate every single one of them. The Golden Dragon and Spicy Salmon Dragon rolls were my favourite. This place is right off the 401 at Markham Road.

“The food is quite good and reasonably priced. The tonkatsu burger in particular remains juicy inside the cutlet, but is loaded with toppings and pairs well with their own house mayo blend.
Be aware that seating is bar style and limited - it is not the most comfortable place to sit.“

Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. People with Celiac and NCGS, Tomo is a really nice place with safe gluten-free food, highly recommended. :)“

“This is a grab and go takeout spot but honestly the quality surprised me in a good way. I got the Salmon Avocado Plus and the rice to topping ratio was perfect. Everything tasted fresh and super satisfying.
The location is right in front of TD Bank which makes it really easy to stop by and for the price the quality is amazing. I went near the end of the day and it was still fresh and delicious which I did not expect.
The staff and the owners were incredibly nice and welcoming and were smiling the whole time. You can tell they actually care.
