One of the NEW hidden gems for Japanese good eats in my hood. Issai Japanese Eatery is a takeout spot for ramen, donburi, snacks, and drinks. There are only 3+2 bar seating available for dine-in, but mainly for takeouts. We have been back a couple times, and we really enjoyed the experience. Great neighbourhood Eatery. They have 5 casual dine in seats if you're looking for a quick bite. I had the Niku Beef Udon with Chashu Rice Bowl. It tasted amazing! The broth in the udon was really good. The portion size was also very good. I will be back to try more.

Ordered the Curry Katsu.Beef curry was good.Katsu not so much, not crispy, dry in the inside, but good thickness. See picsRice was a bit on the dry side.Tea was good and served hot.Service was fast and friendly.Next time I'll try the ramen or udon and see how it goes.
