“I’ve always ordered from Edo Pickering & they have the best teriyaki sauce. I was so happy to see a location open closer to where I live! I just sent in an order and it was packaged so nicely, and carefully! It also included a free complimentary desert which is was such a nice surprise. I will def be ordering from here a lot more & I recommend to anyone looking for a good chicken/broccoli teriyaki bowl! “Amazing food. Great service. Astounding atmosphere. Not only is the fish fresh and delicious, small details like plating make the experience truly unique. The restaurant is loaded to the brim with japanese-style decor, it brings me to a whole other world. Finally, I must praise the quality of service by the server Jessie (quick food arrival,friendly and amicable ). I want her again as my server next time. Will come back for sure!“

“Bento boxes were great, had 1 chicken and 1 beef. Everything was hot, fresh and tasted fantastic. Tempura crispy and light, rice fluffy and light, meat is good quality. Hot miso soup and tea. Service was quick and food arrived fast. I definitely recommend this place.“

“Absolutely amazing! We ordered the medium size maki party tray and it was some of the best sushi we've had. The rolls are huge and the quality is unbelievable. Also some of the best customer service - the gentleman I spoke to on the phone when ordering was so friendly, as was everyone when I went in to pay. We found our new go to spot!“

“Always love the food at Makimono and this location is exceptionally good. We don’t usually do the all you can eat. We enjoy ordering 5 or six things off the menu and sharing. Every dish was exceptional, played perfectly and the temp was just right. Did I mention delisious. Probably the best General Tso’s Chicken I have had ever! “I really really recommend checking out their onigiri when you have the chance! They're fresh to order and huge! ~$5/pp and an average person would be satisfied. Of course we had to try them *all* though. My absolute favorite is the beef sukiyaki! Can't wait to come back for a sit in meal one time! They're ingredients are super fresh!

“It's been a while since I've been here. Sakada is a small Japanese restaurant located in a neighbourhood plaza in Pickering. It appears to be family owned and run. Very friendly people. I was planning to order one of the lunch specials posted in the window but then I saw the All You Can Eat lunch special for $14.00, including a drink. It was too tempting. I ordered a mixture of dishes, starting with miso soup, green salad, and seaweed. That was followed by beef and chicken teriyaki, broccoli tempura, a couple of tofu dishes, and a couple of crab rolls. That was more than enough to stuff me! I'm no sushi expert but everything tasted pretty good. The teriyaki dishes were delicious and everything else was freshly made and yummy. The service was also quite good, especially with a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up orders.“

I ordered a bento and asked the veggies to not be deep fried tempura as I know my kids won't eat it and she rolled her eyes at me and said they can't accommodate. Weird considering they steam the veggie before deepfrying. Really left a terrible effect. No smile. No thank you. Just an eye roll.“
