“Great food for great price at a very cute family run cafe. The service was very warm and friendly, and the theme and decor was very fun! The Shiganshina District Aburi platter was a standout favourite for my wife and I.Highly recommended! We will definitely be back again!“
“Tried the inari and wow was it packed with flavours. Each inari had a different taste depending on the toppings. And each topping was poping with flavours. The tofu wrap had a hint of sweetness. The rice inside was soft and moist which also had its own flavour. $16 for a box of 4.“
“Another great experience with Cupcake Junkie in Whitby! Ordered a cake for pickup on THANKSGIVING DAY and they were awesome enough to be open and accept my order. We ordered vanilla this time with vanilla buttercream and it was delicious. Everyone had nothing but compliments saying how the cake was tasty but not too heavy and the icing was sweet but not too sweet. They were fantastic with the designs and it’s always a professional and fun experience. We love your cakes! Thank you again Cupcake Junkie!“
“We came here for a special occasion and ordered the special combo of the week which cost $188 and opted to upgrade to lettuce wraps for an additional $15. The Pumpkin Soup came with seafood, which sounds like it wouldn’t work, but it did. We were huge fans! The Peking Duck was fantastic. Pro tip: the wraps for the Peking Duck dry out relatively quickly so be sure to eat that when it comes out. The lettuce wraps were a close second. The minced meat was really tasty without being overly salty. We really enjoyed the vegetables that they added into the meat as it gave each bite an extra crunch. They used pork neck to make their sweet and sour pork which was a bit interesting. The meat was slightly tougher and the breading was cooked in a way that made it extra crunchy. The eel was as expected. Delicious. But watch out for the tiny bones. The Abalone was really fresh and cooked perfectly and packed a lot of flavor. We got an assortment of desserts that included Mango Pudding, Cookies and Red Bean Soup. It was the perfect way to end the night. All in all our experience was superb and was enhanced by the excellent service we received.“
“We go here at least once a week ever since they introduced mega size. As bubble tea lovers, we appreciate the big size options and find Sun Tea has some of the best menu diversity and creativity compared to other places. The staff are always nice and there is usually quick service.“
“Still standing after all these years. Just like the Old Firehall Confectionery. Everyone knows what a mainstay this place is for gelato and ice cream. The funny joke I make with my friends is that I've never once seen a single person buy bubble tea from this place even though one of the signs says "bubble tea" on it.For gelato, I truly think there's not a place in markham that has this many flavours. There's some flavours here that I've never seen anywhere else. Moreover, no other place can topple their pistachio gelato. The staff looks identical to when I was back in high school as if none of them have aged LOL. Making gelato must be calm and destressing haha.I tried bacio with my gf for the first time recently and I really liked it! It might be one of my new faves.Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they went way past "normal" inflation measures and 1 scoop is gougingly expensive now. Can't blame them but the 5 star value is not there imo.“
“This particular location of Palgong Tea holds a lot of K-pop Cup Sleeve events. I've been to other bubble tea shops that host events from various fandoms, but this store hosts the events themselves. Follow their Instagram (instagram.com/palgongtea…) to see when the next event will be and for which idol. The one I attended was for Jungkook's single, Seven. Since the staff may not know that you're there for the event, let them know, and they'll give you the cup sleeve and photo card. I'm not sure if they always have this, but there was a notepad sheet as well this time. There was a small photo section on the side with heart string lights and plenty of photos of Jungkook. I ordered the pineapple lemon ginger slush, and it was perfect for the hot summer day. It was so refreshing. I could definitely taste real pineapple, and there was a hint of ginger. This is a small store that does not have any seating and is only for takeout.“
“I was in the area and craving pho, we found this restaurant across from FMP. The pho was really tasty and they gave us big portions! The fresh spring rolls were really yummy too! I will definitely come back again when I'm in Markham. FYI, there's no menu, you have to order by QR code, and if you pay cash it's 10% off.“
“Stopped in for a quick slice while I was waiting for someone, I’m so glad I did. The pizza was very delicious. I’m going back next week to order 2 pizza’s to go so my wife can experience this.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie optionsParking: Lots of parking opens up quickly from people going in and out of the coffee shop next door.Kid-friendliness: Very clean and bright spot if you want to eat in.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible for wheelchair customers“
“Ordered the 3:15 Hong Kong Milk Tea 2-Tiered Cake for the second year in a row for a friends birthday.I ordered the cake through the website and chose delivery option for the next day between 12-5pm. Around 4:30pm the day of delivery, I didn’t receive anything so I called the store to check-in. They promptly contacted the delivery company, and the cake was delivered within the hour (I believe it was delivered by worker from the store and not the delivery company - I think there was a mix up?).It is a delicious cake, totally recommend for any milk tea lovers. However, the crumb coat did fall off quite a bit (perhaps in transit?). Still, didn’t affect the taste. We decorated the cake with some decals to fit the theme of the birthday party, but it’s stunning on its own.“
“Solid lasagna and veal sandwiches. I can drop by the weekend since they close at 4 pm and usually sell out way before that on weekdays. I try and aim for 11 am or just before the rush. That way the veal and pasta has not been sitting and cooking for hours on the hot table to make it tough, chewy and less tasty. Another reason why i go early is parking is tough.“
“Never heard of this place till a saw their instagram ad! I came for an event they were hosting “paint n sip” which you don’t see too often with a drink shop ! So this experience was really unique for new customers to come out and try their drinks! We came a bit late to the paint event, but it was also so much fun with the instructor :) she was also very helpful and I loved how she promoted self-care!I ordered the strawberry cheese cake and my bf ordered the raptors frappe which came included in the price. Both were so good! Knowing that they were healthy as well and low in sugar and calories is such a big plus for those who are health conscious!!Definitely will be returning again to try more of your drinks without feeling guilty haha!Owners were also so welcoming and kind!! Keep up the good work! ❤️“
“My recent dining experience at Chicken Kitchen left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, Manager Danish and Cashier Muskan ensured a warm welcome and seamless service throughout. The ambiance was cozy, with a delightful aroma wafting from the kitchen. My favorite dish, the poutine, exceeded all expectations. The crispy fries smothered in savory gravy and topped with cheese curds were simply divine. What truly stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. Manager Danish was proactive in ensuring every guest's satisfaction, while Cashier Muskan's friendly demeanor made the ordering process a breeze. The attention to detail and commitment to quality at Chicken Kitchen are evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Whether you're a fan of their signature dishes or exploring their menu for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking flavorful delights and impeccable service. Highly recommended!“
“Came across this cute little place accidentally and so glad we did. It’s a very clean space with lovely sweets and desserts, and has a wonderful cute vibe to it. We had the cakes and we also got the cream joux and they taste absolutely fabulous.“
“Located by the condos, Forest Cafe is a busy local cafe that is not only a great place to chill, but to also grab some bites and drinks. The difficult part about visiting, is probably finding road side parking on the weekends as it's usually full. We came on Sat around 2:30pm, and it was quite full inside. The food menu consists of simple sandwiches, croffles and snacks on display. We opted to try the Beef Sausage Sandwich, Chocolate Croffle, Brownie and Dalgona Coffee Latte. The sandwich was quite tasty - a toasted croissant sandwich with a big piece of beef sausage, wrapped with tomatoes and lettuce. Nothing special, but was satisfying enough to be my brunch meal. The croffle was very tasty, and inside was filled with Nutella - one of my favourites! The fudge brownie was also a hit, it wasn't too sweet, but had big chocolate chunks filled inside. My only complaint was that I wish it was bigger haha. The Dalgona Coffee Latte was also a great drink to complement what we ordered. We got the cold and hot, and personally I liked the hot just because cold drinks usually comes with ice, which would dilute the drink a little bit. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, and need a place to relax. IG: Ayeween“
“This is the best fried chicken that I’ve ever had!!! The staff is so nice of giving me mixed flavour of legs and thighs! But of course they can only make it during non-rush hours. I really appreciate that!I will definitely come back for another meal, since this is my favourite restaurant!“
“Guy at the counter was super welcoming and nice. The young man even pulled up a chair for me to sit in so I could play some clash Royale. The atmosphere is very homey and comforting and the food looks straight out of a food anime. I've tried their mapo tofu and sweet and sour pork and it is probably one of the best in the gta for it's price of around 12 dollars. Overall, I think this restaurant is extremely underrated and you should try it out!Kid-friendliness: The guy at the counter was very young and is very nice to everyone. From kids to the elderly, he gives everyone his full attention.“
“One of our favourite places to dine for schnitzel and apple strudel! This is the next best thing if you can't visit Austria! The restaurant is spacious with a relaxing atmosphere, and there's parking at just behind the restaurant (go early to get your spot!). Reservations are recommended especially on weekends and for holidays. Staff there are super friendly and helpful. We've been multiple times throughout the years and this restaurant never disappoints!Parking: Decent amount of parking, but the entrance to the restaurant parking lot is narrow.“
“Wanted to visit the new claw machine place in the plaza but realize it is not open until 1 so we decide to pick Kung Fu out of the many bubble tea places here to sit and chill because it seems to offer the most comfortable seating.Staff advised us that drinks are all on the sweeter side so we ordered 50% sugar, normal ice whenever possible/available.I enjoyed my light fruit tea but my older one said the brown sugar milk can be more favourable (I would pick milk tea personally … but the teen picked milk). There is a selfie station available if you are into that.“
“I’ve been sick and tired of the food we’ve been ordering from our regular go-to in the neighbourhood, always hit or miss. Decided to go with someone different and boy are we glad we ordered from Thai Chi. The restaurant staff is courteous, food was delivered timely and so delicious.“
“The pizza is good mainly because it's fire cooked and they have different options before I liked pizza pizza but now this is my favorite. Try it because it will be the best. They don't mix vegan and meat spoons fork and stuff. Good place for Muslims also. And this tastes so good. And they change their gloves each order without you having to ask them. 10 out of 10 best place ever.“
“We had Charlie's 5th birthday party here and it was a hit amongst guests and doggy participants. When you book for a 2h time slot, you are able to use the space for the party and can rearrange the tables how you like them. We were able to bring outside food in for human guests and we started a tab at the cafe bar for our guests. Other customers were able to come in and get something however were not allowed to stay inside while the party was going on which was nice. I think the price was reasonable and we were given an hour to set up before the party started. There was a bit of a hiccup on opening and setting up however the owners were super nice and accommodating. At the end of the day I was super thrilled with the result however hosting a dog party with more than 10 dogs is definitely overwhelming. Highly recommend. 10 pup cups included and a bag of treats!“
