“What a perfect and cute place to get one of the most delicious cups of coffee - a true coffee lovers delight! We enjoyed one of the signature coffees and look forward to getting it again, and again! So, flavorful and aromatic. The staff were super kind and very helpful!“
“Food was great, nice ambiance, we ordered Chicken Rogan Josh and Madras chicken everything was amazing. We also requested for cheese chilli garlic naan which was not in the menu and they fulfilled our request. Thanks for the wonderful experience. Cheer’“
“I’d share pictures of the delicious chicken shawarma I just ate, but I forgot to take them and taking pictures of the empty wrapper won’t do you any good. Food was super fresh tasting and delicious. Lots of available options to build the wrap to your preference. The large size was very generous and filling. The service was awesome too - had a nice casual conversation with the owners. Will definitely come back and highly recommend to those looking for a healthy and delicious local option!Vegetarian options: Lots of options available.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.“
“This place is special. We tried it in summer 2023, and it blew our minds. We've been back multiple times since then. We celebrated a special birthday here, and it was so good I took my mom here for her 60th. In her words, it was "the best culinary experience of her life". Frank's ever-changing vision of his menu is not only inspiring to home cooks like myself, but jaw dropping with what he offers - and no two visits have the same menu. The staff are lovely, unpretentious and ensure you feel at home when dining with them. And don't get me started on their wine list. I'd give them 10/5 if I could. We will be back many, many, many more times. Thanks Frank and team.“
“The food is worth for the money. It comes with a drink which is a plus. But the BBQ tastes does confuse me a bit. It's not Chinese BBQ favour nor Taiwanese BBQ favour like other store. The portion is good. Not the best, but good for a try.“
“A quaint, cozy place with a cute outdoor seating. This Persian cafe has wonderful brunch menu. I had the Dutch baby pancake with berries on top, with bacon and eggs on the side. Don’t get fooled by the front, go to the back and have a seat at the outdoor area. Fabulous.“
“It is one of the best ? restaurants that we have been in Toronto. It was not too expensive. Food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional. We always have something to say about restaurants, but this one closes our mouths. Thanks, guys, for the attention. ? recommended!“
“I got invited to his wonderful place. A delicious taste of Siria in Toronto. And let me tell you Toronto, you've come a long way. Zezafoun is a definite come back. We ordered a shared dish that was super sufficient to satisfy our brunch hunger.“
“THE BEST PLACE TO EAT, especially seafood and if you are celiac. I have not had calamari in 12 years! The owner was amazing, funny and attentive. And he kicked off my birthday with a deep fried Oreo?!? I have never had so much deliciousnous in my mouth at once ?Dietary restrictions: Celiac, dairy free“
“We went to Chef Harwash on our trip to Toronto in 2023. I've been putting off writing this review. My husband and I still talk about the wonderful food we had here. The chef/owners were so incredibly nice. The food was really well seasoned. We ordered the shawarma, the Damascus cheese w bread, and other dishes that now I can't remember. All of his sauces were incredible. Prices were affordable. This place is a gem! I don't know if we will ever come back to Toronto. It was a lovely city though. If we do, visiting Chef Harwash would be #1 on my list.“
“I’ve been to Roti Mahal’s a few times, and the rotis have been consistently great each time. They make the roti’s to order, and I really like their vegetarian roti’s, including the saag paneer and the vegetarian korma roti. Depending on how hungry I am, I can sometimes have leftovers the next day :)Support small businesses!“
“Love it here! The food, service and vibe are all excellent. My favourite dishes are pad thai and pad ma kher (eggplant and rice). I’ve never had pad ma kher before, and I absolutely fell in love. And I don’t even like egg plants. Highly recommend ?“
“I enjoyed the excellent decaf latte, a consistent choice for me. However, the pistachio dessert, resembling a croissant doughnut with pistachio creme, fell short as it tasted somewhat like old milk, leaving me a little disappointed. Still wouldn't mind coming back for coffee.“
“Yes, they have Malpeque. But also west and east coast oysters you’ve never tasted before, many from small producers in little bays you’ve never heard of. Served with charm and professionalism by a master shucker who’ll coach you on which condiment goes best with which oyster, or say nothing at all if you prefer. Oyster excellence in Toronto, who knew?!“
“Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent. Coffee was great but most of all our server Jenna was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make my Wife’s birthday brunch enjoyable, by not only providing exceptional service but also surprising her with a complimentary mimosa and dessert. I highly recommend this place!“
“We heard about Heirloom through word of mouth and were so happy we proceeding with booking them for our wedding (250 people at a location with no kitchen on site!). Not only was the company organized and great with communication, they were willing to accommodate every single request. We also booked their food truck for a late night snack, and it was a HUGE hit! Thank you for making our wedding an absolute dream!“
“I finally got to try this place a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint! I ordered over the phone for collection. I went for the mix and match pie, half Spicy shatta Bomba and half Upside down and they made them both vegan for me. I also got the burnt tomato dip.Collection was quick and easy and the person who served my was very bubbly and friendly.I got home and when I say I INHALED it...it was sooo f'ing delicious. The restaurant is very cute, will definitely be back to try for dine in“
“I came a few days ago for a few drinks during happy hour and absolutely loved it. The space is so beautiful and the staff is so friendly, we were so well serviced and at the end I believe it was the owner who let us know about the live music they have in house on the weekend. Will absolutely be back.“
“With today being international women's day, I thought what better time to recognize a female owned business who is 5 star in every category possible! First visit was today, place was spotless clean, meals were packaged exceptionally well, a huge variety to choose from, plant based with no oil for majority of the menu, and the tipping point of making this place exceptional is the owner! Karen greeted me with a smile, had my order ready, provided a ton of tips and suggestions, and even walked the items to my car. Thanks to Good Grains my meal planning is going to be so much easier to stick with now that I don't have to shop or cook!! I highly recommend Good Grains, in a world of processed fatty foods, this place is refreshing for the soul and good for it as well! Such a pleasure meeting Karen and I look forward to more trips here and incorporating Good Grains into my meal routine and health improvement. Keep doing what you are doing Karen, we need more places like this and more owners like you!!“
“Love the coffee/treats here! Baristas are super chill and were very patient with me being indecisive about my drink haha even better they were helping me select one! Unfortunately didn't get any of the desserts they have but they looked very good, my friend did get one (pretty sure it was a macaron) and they are absolutely obsessed with it!!“
“Stumbled upon this restaurant today by chance, and we’re glad we did. Cozy and unpretentious with friendly service and an extensive menu of authentic Greek food. The prices are reasonable, the portions huge, and the food was delicious. Skewered chicken was plump and juicy, the grilled veggies were done just right, and we ate every last bit of the home made chunky tzatziki. My dining partner’s salad was topped with a slab of feta, drizzled in oil, herbs, and capers that was probably worth the price of the meal alone. For two tired and hangry travellers, it was exactly the stop we needed.“
“Used to come here a lot with my family throughout my childhood. Came tonight with them again. The services and staff were friendly and always had a smile on their face, made it feel welcoming and comfy. There decor is cute and nostalgic, I love retro decor. The atmosphere was buzzing with happiness, laughter and love, which really says family!I tried their Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt, was amazing. Was not too sweet but was sweet enough and it was scrumptious. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Stopped in for a quick slice while I was waiting for someone, I’m so glad I did. The pizza was very delicious. I’m going back next week to order 2 pizza’s to go so my wife can experience this.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie optionsParking: Lots of parking opens up quickly from people going in and out of the coffee shop next door.Kid-friendliness: Very clean and bright spot if you want to eat in.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible for wheelchair customers“
“An awesome brewery with great beer, their core beers are always consistent and delicious, their new beers are always interesting and well brewed... The Blackburn Imperial Stout is one of the best around in my opinion especially the Rum barrel and bourbon barrel versions that have been released over the last few years. One of my go to breweries.“
“If you want a fun night out with friends go on Wednesday Night for trivia with Jess. She is an amazing trivia host and will have you laughing all night. I promise you won’t be disappointed with the drinks or entertainment at Black Lab Brewing.“
“I don't know how it took me this long to find this place but I already can't wait to go back! The food was DELICIOUS and the service was incredible. Their house marinated olives left us begging them to start selling them! Brisket and Salmon were beyond delicious. Cannot wait to go back!“
“I've tried tons of ramen in Chicago and I am a Japanese restaurant owner myself. But the ramen here is by far the best ramen I've ever had. I experienced amazing taste in a small restaurant. Unfortunately, I can never find ramen in the US where I live.“
“A hidden gem in downtown Toronto. This was the most amazing chicken sandwich I ever had! Friendly people, great service!! The place was clean. Just a few seats for you to chow down and go. What more can you ask for from this little restaurant with great taste.“
“Great meal, salad and pizza were fantastic, only to be outdone by the incredible service! The owner and chef were engaged with the customers, that was impressive. The place has a cool vibe, we are definitely going back. Well done Pizza Beast!“
“The best burger in the city. When I returned last week, I was greeted with a huge smile and a “nice to see you again, how’s mom?” I was in shock. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name (sorry), but with all the people they have coming and going, he remembered me! I’m big on service and the food is awesome. Everyone there is happy, which you don’t really see anymore (sadly). The group love their jobs. Really nice to see. JABS…Fantastic!“
“What in the world took me so long to write this review ... the best food in the city !!! ... and ... how do you top the "best food" ... ??? ... how bout the friendliest service ... FIVE STAR ... go once ... you'll be back ... like me !!!! ... I write this with as much love as you put into your tasty sandwiches and other delights ... Lorne“
“We got the shrimp bites, wedge salad, octopus al olivo, and corn fritters. The shrimp bites were awful and a really bad way to start off our meal. I was actually getting nervous that the rest of our dishes were going to be the same calibre. The shrimp was overcooked and under seasoned. The vermicelli noodles added zero flavour and unnecessary crunch given the shrimp is already breaded. It was just a bad dish and they should honestly take it off the menu. The rest of the food however is a 5/5. We got the wedge salad next which was dressed perfectly and had great crunch. The octopus al olivo was perfect. The octopus was thinly cut yet still perfectly cooked. The sauce was so good that we asked for extra crostinis so we could finish it. The corn fritters had a lovely texture, slight crunch but dense inside and pairs nicely with the slightly sour yogurt and sweet chutney.I would definitely come again. I would’ve also given them a 5 if it weren’t for the shrimp bites. I would recommend to anyone to give this place a try!“
“I picked up a large hot chocolate and grilled cheese deluxe sandwich for breakfast. The hot chocolate was smooth and creamy. Not too sweet or processed but very natural. The grilled cheese deluxe was outstanding. I got mine on multigrain bread. Really good home cooking and very friendly staff. Highly recommended if you're in the area.“
“Quintessential neighborhood coffee shop where everyone seems to know everyone. Got a couple of coffees and amaretti cookies, and enjoyed just sitting there and soaking in the casual vibe. It's in an old-school Italian area, so at times I almost felt like I was on The Bear with the type of people coming in and out and the lively conversations all around. This spot is great and I hope it never changes.“
“Impressive vibe and story. This coffee shop is nestled into an old loading dock that was later transformed into the space it is today. If you spend enough time in this shop you’ll even notice the serving area is housed within a shipping container! There’s even a real wood handmade canoe handed down from the owners’ father.. lit up with plants. It’s a great place to enjoy a nice cup of java.“
“I have placed two orders from the website. It’s not like being in the brewery, for sure. That said, it’s a good website, easy to navigate, and a good selection of all the good beer. I was also pleased with the delivery; on time, just what I ordered. I even had Susan deliver one of the orders.I miss my weekly tap, but until the return to TO (I hope), the website and the delivery will work for me. Thank you, Rob“
“If you want a quality shawarma ? please . Displace my friends is the best in Etobicoke . In my personal opinion I've tasted shawarmas from everywhere in the GTA there is something about this place the food is excellent! The baked goods with the pine nuts in it those are traditionally styled and excellent quality with good ingredients“
“I have shopped all over the place, from Peterborough to Niagara, and online from Wizkids and Amazon. The Guild House has competitively the best prices, solid delivery, and a really good practice of getting what I am after if they don't already have it.“
“Had the Delicious Doner sandwich. The gentleman who served me was very friendly and made the sandwich to exactly how I liked it. Meat is charred on a hot plate before serving (always a winner for me).Lots of veggies and sauces make it awesome as well.Only thing that would make it better is the sandwich bread is toasted (instead of just heated in the microwave) before serving. Also gave complimentary spring rolls!“
“My new neighbourhood coffee joint! I can’t wait for Covid to be behind us so I can enjoy a coffee inside. The staff/owners are really lovely and welcoming. It’s so refreshing to interact with friendly, unpretentious baristas. They have a good selection of coffee that they seem very excited and passionate about. I got an Americano and it was spot on, but something tells me lattes are where they will really shine! Welcome to the neighbourhood and I’ll be back for that latte soon.“
“The best brewery in Ontario by far, and one of the few that produces a lot of Belgian style beers… enough said!! Dave is such a friendly guy and amazing to talk to. Be sure to drop by and chat with him at the bar, or at the very least order as if there was no tomorrow!!!“
“Cozy restaurant with nice decor and lots of tables for indoor dining. There’s also a parking lot that’s a short walk away. Food was good, but nothing too special. Tried different items including the aztec bowl and shiitake teriyaki burger.“
“Never heard of this place till a saw their instagram ad! I came for an event they were hosting “paint n sip” which you don’t see too often with a drink shop ! So this experience was really unique for new customers to come out and try their drinks! We came a bit late to the paint event, but it was also so much fun with the instructor :) she was also very helpful and I loved how she promoted self-care!I ordered the strawberry cheese cake and my bf ordered the raptors frappe which came included in the price. Both were so good! Knowing that they were healthy as well and low in sugar and calories is such a big plus for those who are health conscious!!Definitely will be returning again to try more of your drinks without feeling guilty haha!Owners were also so welcoming and kind!! Keep up the good work! ❤️“
“Really well priced Thai food with excellent flavours and nice presentation. Tom yum was really good with a nice kick without being overly spicy. Chicken wings were also surprisingly good and really nicely seasoned. They do offer various levels of spice, and my friend mentioned that Thai spicy is a really good level for someone for someone who can handle heat.“
“Milky’s was great! The wood paneling on the walls and ceiling are such a unique touch. I had the Milky special which was a latte with sesame and maple syrup YUM! Subtle but tasty! Ham and cheese croissant also did not disappoint! Would return.“
“The sandwiches are amazing. Especially Nonna Rosa’s Steak Sandwich, veal sandwich, meatball sandwich. Heck all are delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs is delicious too. Homemade meatballs (yum). For dessert, the homemade tiramisu is amazing. We highly recommend you try this place. Friendly staff, delicious food and local. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This place is one of my favourite coffee shops in Toronto, no question. There are so many great features of this place: close to transit, great customer service, a wonderful patio, and a good range of hours (as I greatly appreciate that there are a few days you can visit in the evening as well). I also appreciate their choices when it comes to suppliers for their tea since I don't drink coffee that much (Sloane Tea, a favourite) and pastries (Blackbird Baking Co.). Definitely one of the gems of Corso Italia and worth a visit.“
“My husband and I recently visited Pokito Hawaiian restaurant for a delightful dinner experience, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food, drinks, and the warm hospitality extended by the staff. Despite its cozy size, the ambiance was serene and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. We had their Hawaiian BBQ bowl and Garlic Shrimp Scampi from their hot food section, accompanied by their refreshing Pineapple Coconut Iced Tea. The Garlic Shrimp Scampi stood out with its crunchy texture and flavorful taste, while the Hawaiian BBQ bowl offered a satisfying blend of savory and sweet flavors. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we left feeling fully satisfied. One aspect that truly elevated our experience was the attentive and friendly service provided by the staff. Overall, our visit to Pokito Hawaiian restaurant was a memorable one, and we are already looking forward to returning.“
“Super friendly staff great beer. Showed up with a group of 12 and they managed to find us a great spot in the back corner with all the brewery equipment. Was a pretty cool spot. We will definitely make this part of our next pub crawl in the east end.“
“El Almacén, it was an absolute delight. The Argentinian empanadas were a highlight – bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Buenos Aires. The menu offered a perfect balance of taste and variety. What impressed me equally was the reasonable pricing. Enjoying such high-quality cuisine without breaking the bank added to the overall satisfaction. The welcoming atmosphere at El Almacén created a warm and inviting experience, making it a perfect spot for a delightful meal.In conclusion, El Almacén truly stands out as a gem, offering exceptional food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Argentina in a cozy setting!!!Parking: Very reasonableKid-friendliness: Very kid-friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Excelent“
