We tried the chocolate, lime trio, and yogurt sage & lemon soft serves, and every single one was incredible. The chocolate was rich and decadent, while the lime trio and yogurt sage & lemon were bright, refreshing, and packed with real flavour.

But the absolute star of the show was the pistachio gelato bar. Oh. My. Gosh. It was hands down one of the best gelato treats I’ve ever had. The pistachio flavour was intense, creamy, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just pure pistachio goodness in every bite.

You can tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. Bar Ape completely lives up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back to try more flavours!“

“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

We enjoy the bright cheery atmosphere, the friendly staff and the large variety of breakfast options.. All the wait staff are great, especially, Leanne, who is attentive and friendly. “Would give 10 stars if I could. Like others say, this place is spotless, the salads never look sketchy, and the food is DELICIOUS. When I need something tasty AND healthy, this is my go-to. I've only sampled a small bit of the menu, but the shawarma is great and unique, and the falafel is amongst the best I've ever had (cumin, salty, sesame seeds, hint of cinnamon, cripsy and cooked perfectly-chef's kiss!), and I'm a falafel head.

Portions are super generous, and in fact today I got the kids bowl (the small bowl is a full two meals for me), and it was more than enough. I noticed today they have koobideh, I'll likely try that next. All of the salads, dips, and sauces are amazing. And they have a great salad selection.

The two juices they have on tap are also great for a slightly sweet, refreshing treat! Lemon, cucumber mint shown in the pic (I ate the food!)

Oh, and the owners are wonderful, helpful, and kind. I LOVE this place. Go now.

“I ordered the bbq and crispy rice one and it was so good. The portion was generous, the BBQ was flavorful and tender, and the crispy chicken had that perfect crunchy texture. Everything was well-seasoned without being too salty or oily. Definitely worth it!“

Aside from terrific beverages, I am always impressed by the friendliness of the staff. It’s sharp little neighbourhood spot, so the vibe is relaxed and the crowd always seems cheerful. Patty size was decent and on the larger side. While it was nice that the fries could be ordered as half curly and half onion rings, and that they gave a good portion, they were kinda cold and a little hard (still crispy though). Came around 3pm on Sunday and there was a short line. Very limited seating - was lucky to get a table even at that time. Banana pudding was yummy though so stars for that and friendly service:)“

“Fantastic experience at The Old York Tavern. I had never been, but my cousin recommended it and will 💯 be back. One of the best brunch patios I’ve been on, ever. Situated in more of a residential area, you are not getting the overstimulating hustle and bustle vibe of the city but more of a chill and quaint small town. The polarizing view of the CN tower was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed the lobster Benedict and the French toast. Top notch!“

The only thing that was a bummer was that they knew it was a birthday but didn’t do/offer anything special. His family runs the kitchen, and they’re equally wonderful.

The quality of food is top notch, from the sushi/rolls to the ramen and appetizers, you can tell everything is handled and prepared with love. When I’m close to the area I’ll always stop by, can’t recommend this place enough.
