“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

“We love this sushi spot! Every order is fresh, beautifully packaged, and you can really taste the care and passion in every bite. We order here often—as you can see from the collection of photos I’ve amassed—and I can honestly say they’ve been consistent every single time. Their wasabi is made fresh, just like their sushi.

Our daughter has been eating sashimi since she was two, and I’ve never had any concerns about the quality of the fish from this place. Her absolute favorite is the salmon ikura don, and she also loves the little octopus in one of the Inari pockets. We order so often that they even know our usual takeout (D2 and S5, with the occasional Inari Gunkan), and they recognize it instantly when my husband calls in. We’ve dined in a couple of times as well, and the staff are so friendly and warm that we felt right at home.

After a long week, it’s our go-to Friday treat. It’s always a joy to bring their sushi home, and it feels like a little bit of love is packed into every box.“

“I came in yesterday, there was this unprecedented party of people that showed up unannounced and had taken over the brewery common space. But the manager went out of their way to make it work for our party of people. Saved our Saturday and had some of the best beer in Toronto.“

Decided to try this place randomly, glad I did. Their donuts are mini donuts and mine were served hot and fresh. They were pillow soft, like tasting a good quality French croissant that just came out of the oven. But the interior is well done and not a trace of batter, which is how it should be. “I was a vendor this year at Kempenfest 2025. Monday evening it was finally slow enough for me to go for a walk and look around the festival. I wanted something to drink and asked Curbside Dogs if I could have an orange pop. The lady in the food truck said she couldn't charge me for the pop because the time for their food permit expired as they were packing up (I did not realize the food trucks had different close times than us art vendors). She politely told me I could have the pop, no charge! I was so thankful and it made my evening even better. Thank you for caring Curbside Dogs!“

She was also very friendly. The name on the receipt is Jaskaran. Whatever you guys are paying her, she deserves a raise.“
