“As you can see it’s a fun, cute little spot.
The ice cream itself though was delicious! Got the peaches and cream and the taste did not disappoint. It tasted like actual peach not that artificial fruit taste and the ice cream itself was creamy, as expected from an ice cream shop. The price is also pretty on par with other independent ice cream parlours.
My only ‘complaint’ is that it’s a small space but otherwise definitely going again.“

“Kernels Popcorn is actually the best. So much flavours and they are all so delicious. I recommend the Creamy Caramel but literally all the other flavours are tasty. I ordered a litre. A LITRE. Because I have no self control and apparently no shame. Stood outside on the sidewalk eating it like a feral raccoon who just discovered dairy. Mouth open, eyes wide, fully unhinged. I think I made eye contact with a stranger mid-bite and neither of us said anything.

The ice cream is so good I forgot where I was. I forgot my responsibilities. I forgot that I’m a grown adult who owns a business. None of that matters when you’re nose deep in a tub of hand crafted small batch perfection.

Would I do it again? I’m already thinking about tomorrow.

“neighbourhood gem! very family-friendly atmosphere with a thoughtful team. the menu is refreshingly concise and i loved how calm and composed the kitchen feels. the space is casual and clearly considered (unfussy but you can tell there’s care behind what they’re putting out).

we ordered the fish and veg, cheeseburger, caesar salad and two desserts.

the corn salad was exquisite and the trout was nicely done, though the skin was a touch underwhelming — not sure what happened there, maybe it was left a little too long before being served, as the skin had lost its crispness by the time it reached the table. the squeeze of lemon was definitely welcome, though; that little touch of acidity really helped.

the cheeseburger was simple but done right as was the caesar salad. can’t ask for anything more, really.

the desserts were probably the only miss for me. the mango soft serve didn’t quite hit the spot, while the raspberry compote hit the back of the palate strikingly too acidic. same with the strawberry coulis on the no-bake cheesecake. the actual cheesecake was good, but nothing grand.

service was wonderful. everyone was attentive without hovering, and lindsey was genuinely the sweetest server ever. it also seemed like the rest of the team had a great handle on their tables. everyone seemed happy, even while stranded in the middle of a thunderstorm!

overall, still five stars despite the desserts not quite hitting the mark. i’d love to see a really good drip coffee on the menu, too — would’ve been a nice way to end the meal.

“I have come to this Dairy Queen for more than 5 years. I have never had bad experience with any employees or manager about their products. They always treat customers politely. Especially the lady manager, Dora , she is very kindhearted and very friendly with everyone. She is a very good role model for every employee.
