After many many many years, I finally found Nikujaga that my grandmother used to make. The taste was exactly the same, not to sound melodramatic it was nostalgic, sent me right back to my childhood upon the first sip of the soup... obviously I nearly cried few times. Never the less, it is an awesome and authentic Japanese restaurant. 🧸🙂
Food lacked overall flavour. The Earl Grey matcha latte had no Earl Grey flavour. The hambagu steak was not seasoned on the inside, the rice was too soft, and there wasn't enough sauce. Yakisoba was OK.
Would definitely recommend the Tonkatsu eggs and gravy. It's gravy the perfect consistency and not too salty or heavy. Only critique is that I wish the rice wasn't as soft as it was. The QR code for the menu isn't compatible with some phones (Such as the Google pixals) so it was nice that there was a physical menu in case. Otherwise great portions! My friends also liked their orders. Whenever you're in Jtown definitely try it out! Thank you.
