“Not as good as the richmond hill location imo (except for the broken rice). The broken rice at this location looks way better than the richmond hill location. You get more meat and a bigger portion overall. One thing I noticed that they changed here compared to the richmond hill location is the 4:30pm special hot stone bowl pho. Instead of a beef rib in the stone bowl, they give you oxtail. I ordered this because I thought it'd be like Art of Pho's oxtail stone bowl pho in richmond hill (they give you HUGE chunks of oxtail). I got maybe 5 super small pieces of oxtail and to top it off, they increased the price of the stone bowl pho from $25.99 to $31.99!!!! In my opinion, totally not worth it. I would much rather they bring back the beef rib for the 4:30pm stone bowl pho at the original 22.95 or 25.99 price (they still have the 2 beef rib pho for the 11am - 2pm special at $22.95 which is great). Also, at $31.99 you're lookin at almost $40 after tax and tip for a pho.On top of this, I came w/ friends and my stone bowl pho looked smaller than my friend's bowl which was just a normal pho with all the meats added. If I'm ever craving hot stone bowl pho for dinner I'm definitely not coming to this location. Will stick to richmond hill location.Still at least 4 stars because the taste is great.“

“I LOVE this place. I’ve tried so many pho places and this has become my GO TO, I usually always get the rare meat pho and my friend gets the pho combination and they’re both extremely delicious. The soup broth is really good, the environment looks super cute and CLEAN which is really important to me and they have really nice staff. Make sure to also get a Vietnamese coffee to go it’s very good!“

“Nestled in the heart of the city, Dear Saigon restaurant is a culinary gem that whisks diners away to the bustling streets of Vietnam. The star of the show is undoubtedly their Pho, a fragrant and soul-warming noodle soup that's both comforting and aromatic, reminiscent of authentic Vietnamese flavors. For those craving a taste of Thailand, their Tom Yum noodles deliver a spicy and tangy punch, bursting with the vibrant flavors of lemongrass, lime, and chili. But the delights don't stop there. Dear Saigon's chicken wings are a true crowd-pleaser, boasting a perfect balance of crispy skin and succulent meat, coated in a tantalizing marinade that keeps you coming back for more. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who are passionate about sharing the rich culinary traditions of Southeast Asia. “Was pleasantly surprised from what this little gem had to offer. Been hearing great reviews about this place and had to give it a try. Ordered the beef carpaccio with a side order of rice. Amazing and flavourful topped with a light salad on top. Made to share, or as an entree, I had to take some home because it was so much. Loved the flavour of the sauce mix with the meat. Great to eat with the shrimp crackers that come along with the meal as well. I recommend! Taro(Ube) latte ... yum!!!! Honestly thoroughly enjoyed this iced latte. Was recommended by our server to try it out. Not too sweet, but just the right amount of sweetness and caffeine kick that you need at your lunch hour, and complete a sweet compliment to your meal! Overall, great quality, service. Amazing selection. I'm am definitely coming back to this small gem again. Would highly recommend!“

“I’ve came here since they opened, and still return whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Their beef pho has a certain sweetness I don’t find in other viet places. The staff were always nice and will explain what each food to you when you order. They will also check in on you to make sure all is well. When I do come though, I’d go for the specials. Currently, they are doing mix noodles which in my opinion are gigantic portions to eatThis restaurant is good for single or couples to drop by if dine in as it is a small shop. It is more a takeout spot. So don’t bring a family here to expect seating.Parking: The place is located at a strip mall beside a Popeyes, grocery store/salon. Parking space is limited.“

“Pho was so good! Must try order house pho with a side of spring rolls. Service was on point even during busy dinner hour rush. Honey garlic wings with a side of sticky rice was so yummy it was gone before I could snap a picture of it. So many other things to try. Highly recommend.“

“Unbeatable Pho Quality: As a pho enthusiast, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect bowl, and I've finally found it here. The broth is the heart and soul of any good pho, and this place nails it every time. Paired with tender cuts of meat and expertly cooked noodles, every bite is a symphony of flavors. With reasonable prices and generous portions, this establishment has secured its spot as my go-to pho destination."“

“I ordered Zuo L size assorted beef noodles, cold rolls and shrimp cakes.Delicious Pho! The beef is so fragrant, tender and outstanding! The coleslaw rolls are so big and filling. There is some oil in the shrimp cakes, so it is better to eat the shrimps first“

“By far, my number one Vietnamese pho. I won’t let anyone who loves Vietnamese pho not try it. I fell in love with the soup base. You can see a lot of real dried shrimps in the soup base. You won't be thirsty after eating it. I've tried five or six kinds so far, and I've basically never had any trouble. I like this kind of flour, it is thick, chewy and soft. Various soup bases are paired with this powder“

“Some of the best Pho in the city! So happy the pandemic didn’t impact their recipe. Perfect dark brown, clear and fragrant broth containing tender rare beef, noodles and I add veggies. This was what I’d been craving during lockdown. As usual Viet Thai Kitchen didn’t disappoint! 10/10 recommended!“

“Very delicious food and nice atmosphere, service here was good for the most part, however the frog legs and bahn mi we’re all sold out by the time I went so it was a bit disappointing, however the rest of the items we preferred more than made up for it.“

“This place used to be at the food court at Chartwell (brimley and huntingwood) Loved eating there before, but they closed about 8 years ago. Glad they reopened under Pho Street. This is my go-to place now for a quick bite. Delicious authentic vietnamese food.“

“Pho Anh Vu is a franchise and location matters. After tried a few of their other locations in the GTA, this location hits. I ordered a classic pho. Broth is flavourful, lots of meat, onion and cilantro. If they offered fresh noodles, it would definitely elevate the experience. I can’t complain with the dry rice noodles. I liked how it was thicker than noodles you get from typical pho restaurants.“

“Awesome place, when I moved here over a year ago this was the best possible find. They are consistent, clean, kind, and efficient. The food is always fresh and of great quality. I have never had a bad experience here, the only issue is that sometimes there's no seating because of how popular they are! Could not recommend more! It is definitely worth stopping in if you like Pho!“

“pho basil is the sheer DEFINITION of a comfort spot. rich, savoury broths and tasty rice noodles come together to form a lovely, soothing meal. it is family owned and run, and the authenticity of their recipes is felt throughout their array of dishes. i recommend p1 (the house special) and p4 (rare beef and brisket - my personal favourite), as well as the fried pork spring rolls for an app !! make sure to absolutely smother your soup in hoisin and sriracha and pack on as many fresh roots as you can <3 a meal here is sure to warm your heart and revitalize you !Dietary restrictions: they made sure to clarify that there were no peanuts in my meal :D“

“I eat here all the time with my mom and boyfriend on a religious basis. We love and recommend the rare beef/beef shank pho, and pork/chicken vermicelli with the spring rolls. I think the desserts are great! My mom likes the coconut dessert a lot. I like how they have various different condiments to choose from and I enjoy using the garlic and chilis instead of siracha.I enjoy how the staff remembers me, especially the girl in the hat with the ponytail! I never got her name but I wish I knew! After my mom didn't show up for a while due to injury, she asked me where she was so I appreciate that she cared. We used to go to the one across the plaza but this is my new fave spot to go to!“

“Been to a lot of pho restaurants and to be honest I’ve found them all the be the same in terms of the food and prices. The only difference I find is the place and the washrooms and this one takes the cake. Very clean washroom and great layout of the dining area.“

“Oh my goodness the food here is amazing! This was the best mango salad I have ever had. Usually I order mango salad exclusively from Thai restaurants, but took a chance. It is phenomenal, and I mean it. There is a bit of spice, but not too much. The mangoes are sliced thin and have some fried garlic or shallots added in which are so crunchy. Absolute must try when you come. The beef tendon side dish was okay, the tendons were juicy but the soup was very bland. Broken rice with chicken was a tasty classic. The highlight of this meal was definitely the star. If you want to try the beef shank rib thing (#22) make sure you come early as it sold out by dinner.Dietary restrictions: There is an option to add allergies when you order through the QR code.“

“Delicious food, quick service, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The sandwiches are delicious. If you like beef and pork belly, these flavours definitely worth trying. Prices are very reasonable. The only disappointing thing is that this restaurant closes early.“

“My gf wanted to try this place as Pho Vietnam nearby according to her has dropped its standards tremendously and the new Pho Anh Vu is also packed out the wazoo from all the grand opening hype.We visited for a bite to eat on Christmas Eve. On google, it said this place would close at 6pm on Christmas Eve but they were evidently operating under normal business hours cuz we saw tons of ppl streaming in and out after 6.Anyways, the interior is actually quite spacious and the wooden vibe is nice. It looked very bright along with all the plants.I ordered P9 which is the rare beef + beef rib pho while my gf ordered P7 which is pho w/ rare beef, brisket, tendon & tripe.Beef rib pho: For $22.99 I was quite satisfied. I thought long and hard about how it stacks up to my GOAT Pho Anh Vu and it does not disappoint at all. Pho Anh Vu you're paying $25.99 (at the time of this review), for a larger plate of meat cuts and toppings on the side with 1 beef rib. Over here at Dear Saigon, you just get one side plate of ribeye but you get 2 beef ribs as opposed to 1. It's a tough call. I think in terms of value I'd say it's equal value because of all the meat attached to that extra beef rib. Even though you're getting less meat on the side, you're also paying $3 less. But if you're asking me which pho makes me feel more full I'd have to say the Pho Anh Vu one does.Pho w/ rare beef, brisket, tendon & tripe: My gf really liked her pho. She said the broth was very beefy and clean. Her old go-to place, Pho Vietnam two blocks over, apparently has very watery broth now and she said the service is bad as well which means it's out of her rotation playlist. She also said for the value (price and quantity) she feels quite ripped off at Pho Vietnam as well. There's no bowl sizes at Dear Saigon but she said this bowl was relative to an L or XL at Pho Vietnam.Overall we were happy with this place. I would come back again if I was in the area and Pho Anh Vu was packed!“

The hospitality from the owners is an added bonus to the overall experience this restaurant offers. This establishment is forever grateful for any and all customers and it truly shows. My entire family loves coming here not only because of how loved we feel but also because we can bring friends for their first time and they feel the same way.The point of this review is to thank them for giving us an amazing place to come back to again and again! “Came here with my family and ordered several items. The orders with the hot stone pot with the broth is pretty fun. You can cook the beef in the broth at your own pace. The heat in the broth retains pretty well. One if the broth got cold so we asked if they can heat it up and they let actually came back with another pot with full broth which is really nice. I got the Bun Bo Hue and it tasted great. My only complaint is that it didn't come with pigs blood and the 3 color drink had a bit too much ice in it. The prices are on the higher end but portions make up for the price. Everyone liked their food and I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.“

“Took over from the Phoenix restaurant that was here before, which was a kid favourite.Decor is mostly the same with a slightly adjusted layout.Located inside the mall so you have to deal with mall parking. There was a big group of about 12 people that were on the other side of the restaurant. Most other seating could accommodate about four.Had the curry which was spicy for the kids. The crispy noodles and chicken with vegetables was a large size portion.Pork chop and rice is always a good option.Fried tofu and shrimp was another good option.Good option for Vietnamese food in the area.Though, not necessarily one that I’d go out of my way to go to.I’m in the area enough so will probably be back.“

“I've tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and Pho Vinh is one of my 3 favourites in Markham and Richmond Hill. The pho broth and noodles are very good quality. “The pho was flavourful and filling. The soup was a bit on the oily side though and the grilled chicken was good but didn’t have a strong lemongrass flavour. All the other dishes we tried were also good. This is not our favourite pho place, but it’s a good place to come every once in a while.“

“Went here for a nice casual vietnamese dinner in Scarborough. Many room for seating here, we went at 8pm on a saturday and it was not too busy here! Fairly quick reliable service over here, we didn’t wait too long for our food! They also have a drive thru that’s surprisingly really quick when ordering some pho to go!A3 - Shrimp Fresh RollVery yummy and tasty as you’d expect from a fresh roll 8.5/10A1 - Crispy Spring Roll w Pork and MixedVegetables- tasty but not for everyone, without the fish sauce it wouldn’t be so good honestlyS1 - Mango Salad w/ choice of shrimp 7/10Very delicious and refreshing but the mangoes were a bit too ripe. If mangoes were better, then it would’ve been more like an 8.5/10. Also they used cashews for this dish, i would’ve preferred peanuts here. Both the special pho and rare beef pho are as expected. I normally get a Large as I’m a big guy but got a small because we got other side orders. I’d recommend getting a large if you’re just solely coming here for having pho.“

“The one and only Vietnamese place my family go to. We have tried first their location in Richmond hill and got addicted. So happy since they’ve opened the location in Markham. Have been here since the opening. Their chicken wings are the lightest and the crispiest, pho is hearty and they always try their best even when they’re short-staffed. I took my fried my here once too , who has never tried Vietnamese cuisine and she was over the moon with the flavours and freshness.“
