First time trying, leaving a review because the place was very clean and staff were very friendly, which is rare for most Chinese joints.
Food tastes better when it comes with a smile 👍
Average strip mall Chinese takeout joint. The positives I would say is the service is extremely fast. The food was mediocre. Nothing to really write home about. Prices are a bit more steeper than you would expect based on the quantity that they give. Probably would have been of better if they gave some more food as the taste again is very average. They don't have a lot of competition in the area which is probably driving the complacency.
The general tso chicken is legit one of the best i’ve had !! this is the L13 extra chicken

Dragon Gem Chinese Restaurant offers a friendly atmosphere with helpful staff and good food at reasonable prices. Customers are pleasantly surprised by the delicious meals, particularly the heavenly crab rangoon and the chicken corn soup. The restaurant can get busy, with many chefs working hard in the kitchen, so ordering ahead is recommended. While parking can be chaotic, the ample parking space makes it convenient for customers.
Customers frequently praise the fresh and hot food, which comes in generous portions of vegetables and meat. The Hunan Style Beef lunch special is a standout, along with the combo meals like General Tso Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Hot and Sour Soup is also commended for its quality. Some visitors have noted that the chop suey can occasionally have more noodles than vegetables, but the overall experience remains positive. The restaurant is clean and bright, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Dragon Gem is considered a hidden gem in the Metro Plaza, perfect for picking up a hot meal after work, with a variety of favorites including chicken Lo mein, steamed and fried dumplings, and fried rice.
