About The Royal Chinese Restaurant

The Royal Chinese Restaurant is a great destination for a delicious and authentic Chinese dining experience. This cozy, old school Chinese restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a family gathering, reminiscent of the 90s. Friendly and helpful servers, including a main serving gentleman, provide stellar service and genuine hospitality that keeps customers returning. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well-cooked, with a wide range of options on the menu. Classic dishes like Seafood Fried Rice feature generous amounts of shrimp, scallops, and squid, often more than most nearby restaurants. Amazing food and service. We frequent this place and never got disappointed!

This place is one of the rare Chinese food places left in the city that still serve that hearty bone broth soup and then a dessert at the end, at no extra charge!
My fav thing to get here is the salted egg lobster. I also like that they pack your leftovers for you and they do it so thoughtfully! The service in general is fine… it’s genuine but lacks English so you have to double and triple check that they’ve understood you.

I grew up eating at this restaurant when I was young. This is where I first discovered Cantonese Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and although I've had the same dish in many restaurants in many cities, this restaurant, for me, sets the standard for this particular dish.

Sometimes when they get too busy, they would have us share a table with other people, and I never liked this, but it was worth it for the food.

We always eat here when in Toronto.
