“Portions are a little small. We ordered soup and a rice dish. The Pho (soup) was really good but would only feed one person though supposed to feed two. We also ordered the Rice with shaking beef (#46) had nice flavour but the portion size was small though served on a huge plate. It was a not really enough for one person. The beef was also tough. So not recommended. Stick to the Pho but the large is only enough for one.“
“I'm usually not a soup person but my husband introduced me to this place a few months ago and we love going there since then! We go for the original rice noodle soup everything taste good and you can have free noodle refil as well! We also always order the popcorn chicken because it's our son's favorite and I have to say that it's one of my favorite too!“
“Stopped by for lunch at this newer pho place in Aurora. I liked that they had alot of variety of dishes to choose from and bahn mi's which you don't see that often in the aurora area. I opted for the grilled pork, sausage and spring roll vermicelli bowl and a pork bahn mi. Both items were delicious. The grilled pork was sweet and very flavourful with a slight char from the grill. The sauce was delicious as usual with a lemon grass favour. The spring roll was great! It was nice to see them using a different type of wrapper for the roll - which made the roll more puffy. The bahn mi was good with the different types of meat and pickled vegetables. I look forward to trying their other items. Their service was quick and efficient - perfect for a mid work lunch stop.“
“The food here is delicious! Passes the kid test too. We have been there twice and the food has not disappointed. The beef kebabs were out of this world, and the pickled carrots and cucumber were crisp and delicious. The crispy noodles are a family favourite, just so crisp and when they soak up the gravy, YUM! We’ve previously had the pho and the flavours of the broth is one of the best I’ve had. It seems the next dish to try is the Pad Thai!“
“Update:The beef brisket + wonton is awesome flavours and beef is moist not tough.Came to try this place out after many reviews and got the traditional shrimp wonton noodle. The wontons are very delicious as well as broth, the noodles on the other hand didn't have much taste. I think next time I will try the beef brisket and shrimp wonton.“
“Great food. I had rare beef pho. Best I've had in Newmarket. Their broth was very flavourful which I find lacking at a lot of other places I have tried. Service was very quick. People were pleasant. No complaints and food was great. Will definitely go back again. This is my new pho place.“
“Huge menu. Good pho. I also enjoy their rice paper rolls. The service is amazing especially the front. The guy is always super friendly and makes you smile. It can get really busy weekday lunches due to the nearby high school. Paying cash is “
“Last night after playing badminton , I went to Pine house cafe with my friends. It was truly happy with excellent service from the charming waitresses. food was generous and delicious. It was such a delightful dinner, and I must give them a five-star review. I'll definitely bring my family there in the future.“
“I ate here many years ago before it was called this place. I ordered Jidi porridge, imperial concubine chicken, rice rolls, curry beef, etc. Jidi porridge contains pork, tender pork liver and crispy pork kidney. It is large in quantity, delicious and cheap for only 7 dollars for a large bowl. The imperial concubine chicken is the best Cantonese chicken I have eaten in Toronto. The chicken body is ice-cold and fragrant with ginger velvet. What is rare is that you can actually see the layer of jelly in the middle of the chicken skin! Delicious food on earth! The coffee is freshly roasted and very spicy and delicious. The rice rolls are better than all the well-known morning tea shops, the skin is soft and elastic, and it is better than the old street rice rolls. The only ordinary ones are salt and pepper, which is a foreigner's method of coating fried fish with flour. In fact, it tastes pretty good. To sum up, every dish is of a high standard, far superior to Cantonese restaurants such as Queen and Emperor’s Famous Porridge. Thanks to this Cantonese chef in Toronto for imparting his cooking skills.“
“The plaza this restaurant is located in is a bit rundown. The restaurant itself is brightly lit and seems vibrant enough. On a Monday night before six, the place was already about half full. Only 2 servers but the service was fine and both servers were very friendly. The food was good, portions were good size and pretty good value. I also noticed that they have quite a few set meals to choose from. Good choice for a low-key Cantonese meal.“
“Buzzing little restaurant with delicious food. My favorites would be the liver porridge and the wonton noodles. Every portion was generous with a very reasonable price. You'll leave this place satisfied and fulfilled. Although we can't book a table, the line isn't long and we are quickly seated.“
“THE BAO!! Best I’ve ever had!!Boyfriend and I stopped in to try one each and they were so good we ended up staying to try more and got an order of gyoza. The eggplant bao is by far the best, I think we ordered one of each. They are all incredible. Super fresh, high quality ingredients, perfectly prepared. The owner of the shop was preparing all the food herself and she was so kind, you can taste all the love and passion she has for her food.I can’t wait to come back and try EVERYTHING on the menu!Thank you Hop Bop for the amazing food, I’m so glad there is food this good in Newmarket. See you again soon!“
“It’s been a while since I’ve been here. There’s a new menu. There’s also salted duck and sauced duck. Personally, I prefer the sweet version, and I prefer the sauced duck. The unique taste of Toronto is amazing...it tastes much better than the vermicelli soup in the same city. Recommended???“
“We were a party of 4 and was seated promptly. They accomodated my 2 kids with small bowls and utensils. We had the popcorn chicken, chicken max noodle and the beef fried noodle.Popcorn chicken was good! The chicken max noodle..the chicken was the same cooking style as the popcorn chicken;however, when I received it it was like cold compared to the popcorn dish I already received which was hot.The beef fried noodle is always my fav coming here. Good flavor and beef. Definitely recommend.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and wooden forks for kids. They'll also give your kids water instead of tea.“
