“This place is absolutely cozy and wonderful. The food is cheap but quality is above and beyond what you could expect. Very cozy familiar atmosphere where you can talk with your love ones over some delicious food and have a wonderful time here. Staff are so friendly and amazing. Food came quite fast and the noodle soups are absolutely so fresh you can litterally smell the freshness when it's brought out. I also had some delicious garlic wings and the pork tender mo and I can't be more excited to eat here again. They also have take out containers so no food goes to waste. 10/10 will definitely come again“

“We came on a Saturday during the lunch hour so it was pretty busy. Had to wait in line until our number was called and the wait was worth it. We usually go to the Bayview hill location but decided to try this one today!!! Everything was so amazing and even though they were busy, the staff still kept a positive attitude and worked hard!! “The Big Trio is my go-to place for wonton noodle twice a week. Their beef tripe is also very tasty and tender. However the combinarion of wonton and tripe is the best. Add a bit of chilli oil...oh my.... my stomach thanks me for it. I think i am addicted to it. ;)“

Everything I ordered today from beef kebab, lotchha, stirred noodle with beef and Battambang rice noodle soup, I gave 10/10. Absolutely delicious! “Food was good but not quite at the Vietnamese level. However very close to the real thing compared to the rest of the Chinese operated Vietnamese restaurants.

Service was exceptional. The man who seated us was funny and has a lot of energy. Very lively and courteous.

“The king size dumplings are super tasty and the kimichi tastes super fresh. Highly recommend in term of the quality of the food and the dumplings are about $1-2 dollars cheaper than the other one. It tastes not as salty than the others nearby but its not as big (that has terrible customer service) that sells the same thing. Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. Just order take out its easier“

“I tried The Joy of PHO for the first time today. It had a pleasant visual appearance from the outside as well as the inside, and the woman who took my order was very kind. I consider myself a bit of a Pad Thai expert lol, but I can say without hesitation that was the best Shrimp Pad Thai I've ever had. Delicious sauce and they didn't cheap out on the small shrimp, those were tigers in there. Well done 👍“

“Pine House never disappoint me. We moved from Markham to Vaughan and craving for HK cafe food for so long. We ordered stir fry beef noodle and baked beef tongue with tomato sauce, it was so yummy. Staff are friendly and efficient too. Truly wish they will consider opening a branch in Vaughan where there is none of this kind of cafe.“

“Our family had a great lunch experience. The food was Cantonese style and tasty! Portions were generous and price was very reasonable. We had two congees, steamed rice noodle roll with Chinese dough stick, a rice noodle, a stir fried noodle, broccoli and beef, and shredded chicken… and this was plenty for 5 people!“

“I came to this place out of pure curiosity, and I'm glad I didn't read the reviews until after I sat down, because what I experienced left me completely shocked. I ate a lot of this food when I was young, then drifted into all the trendy food-entertainment stuff, and this did exactly the opposite: the old dependable, hitting the spot the way childhood food should.

Nothing fancy, just low oil, low salt, no shortcuts, no Heinz ketchup or food colouring in the sweet and sour pork, and real technique in every dish. The owner waited on us himself and treated us like family, and even the fish tanks were spotless, which tells you everything about how they run the kitchen. It's disappointing that people don't realize the damage venting online does to a hardworking family business like this one. The place was packed with line-ups out the door, and it's a real disservice to the aunties and uncles serving families day after day.

Now that I know this place exists, and has existed this long, I'll happily be coming back. If you want polished decor and fusion plating, this isn't that. If you want honest, skillful home-style cooking from people who clearly care, ignore the noise and go see for yourself.“
