“I just had the nicest lunch today at The Sushi Chef. I am a regular takeout customer. I usually get a takeout maki lunch special three or four times a month. The food is amazing!! Better than any sushi place I’ve ever been to. The service is incredible. Today I went to eat in dine with my sister who hasn’t been inside a restaurant since 2020. We had the nicest time. The service and food was perfect and the server was so sweet to us. We stayed for almost two hours because we haven’t seen each other for months. The server didn’t make us feel rushed or anything but welcomed. It was amazing. I highly recommend this place. It is absolutely perfect.”

“We were there tonight to celebrate my son's 12th birthday and had a great night. Marco was our server and he was amazing, he went above and beyond for us (table of 6). He made our night truly special. The food was amazing (as always), and the Miami Vice and Pina Coladas were even better. We used to have to travel to their Newmarket location and so we are very happy that they opened here in Barrie. This is the best Mexican food around. Be sure to ask for Marco's section if you do go, you won't be disappointed :)”

“Tried Taste of Persia tonight for the first time. I was drawn to TofP because they have Koobideh Kebab (and that's what I had tonight). 100% exactly what I was hoping for! I love the great flavour of the juicy meat, and the saffron rice was cooked to perfection. I don't normally eat the grilled tomato that traditionally comes with Koobideh, but tonight I devoured that too! I (accidentally) decided to try the green chilli pepper that was also in my takeout container but that turned out to be a mistake because I cannot handle that level of spicy heat (but if that's your thing, go for it!) The staff were really friendly and acknowledged me as soon as I walked in, which was great because I wasn't sure what to expect walking into a new restaurant. The restaurant itself was a small quaint and cozy establishment. Not sure if I'd consider dining in as it feels too small for that experience, but for takeout I would absolutely return for sure!”

I booked to celebrate an intimate event for four and we were put into a corner with a folding barrier…the entire reason for reserving was to ensure the atmosphere was appropriate and what we got was a substitute last minute idea to “accommodate “ us while a very large and LOUD group gathered and basically ruined our conversation and overall experience! The server was excellent! The food was great but what we were assured and what we experienced were completely different Nice touch bringing preseco to the table but overall disappointing”

“We drove from Penetanguishene for a lunch date and let my mom choose where to go! With sooo many options on Dunlop Street - Mexhico was the one that caught her eye! We were welcomed into the restaurant and realized it was vegan! Now worries as this is an option for anyone! The food was delicious and fresh and you wouldn’t even know you weren’t eating meat! We had the Tacos Pastor, Enchiladas & Ch*kn Flautas. They also have our favourite Hornitos bottled fruit drinks! We will be back! Thank you for a great afternoon to catch up and treat my mom!”

“We randomly searched for Jamaican food on my trip from Sudbury to London with my teenage son. We weren't disappointed. Best Jamaican curry roti I've had. My son got the same plus a beef patty that he said was amazing also. The only reason we didn't stop there again on the return trip was because it was too late in the day when we passed through. Can't wait to stop again next time we are in town! Looking forward to trying the oxtail (which was not available that particular day). Keep up the amazing work! Note that indoor seating is limited this is a predominantly takeout restaurant.”

“Big portion, delicious and on point. Fried haggis, barbecue, braised beef noodles, thin-skinned buns, handmade dumplings, boiled beef, cold skin, and stir-fried pork with pancakes. Nothing is bad. Especially the shredded sweet potatoes, which I haven't eaten in years, are so delicious that I can't stop eating even if my mouth is burned. Thanks to the chef for the job! Goodbye Barie.
