“This cafe is the best Barrie has to offer in coffee. High quality roasts and skilled baristas can be found here. This comes from someone who has been a barista themselves for 5+ years. They have incredible cold brew and the best focaccia I've ever had. I enjoyed a nitro cold brew and have had their regular dark roast coffee. The location is amazing right next to a huge park with big windows offering natural light and park views. The cafe itself is clean and conveniently arranged and also offers various sized bags of take home coffee for sale. The staff are experienced and will grind the take home coffee for you optimized for your usual brewing method (I personally am partial to the French press, so I got a coarse grind). All staff are friendly and the menu options change regularly so you'll never run out of new food options to try when you visit. The coffee bar is open to the dining area so you can see them preparing your beverages. I can speak to the quality of their preparation methods as they work with the same care I would when making myself a beverage at home.

“I work in the area and will drive right past Tim Hortons and make a point of stopping at Marty's for my coffee. No corporate store has anything on Marty's. Their portion sizes are beyond average. Their staff is incredibly welcoming and their fresh baked goods are amazing. I am so thankful that I know about this place because you will never find this kind of service at a corporate store. “Thanksgiving weekend, only one staff at the counter, and a whole bunch of people, me included all come in at once. He was pleasant and quick. Another staff came running in from the back to help but the young man had managed to help us all already. I come to this location everytime I visit the in-laws even though it doesn't have a drive-thru which I usually prefer. The staff make it worth it.“

“I come to this location a lot as I work in the Georgian mall, the staff are amazing and very caring about their customers. The only thing I don’t particularly like is the layout of the drive thru and the parking lot, however thats a city issue. I came to the drive thru the other day and the person who made my drink made it wrong but I told Or at the register and he was super kind and attentive and made me a new drink very quickly! He’s served me a few times and every time is a pleasure!“

“Excellent service. I was there before 7am. Yet the associates were friendly and alert, and extremely patient. I was groggy and confused and disoriented….was my first time in this particular starbucks. And it was way before my usual ‘wake up and live’ time! They understood my predicament. As they could see I was now trying to manage an order for four people. Other groggy people in my family. She even handed me my hot water. Which I forgot I had requested. She stopped to add the extra order for the lemon glazed cake slice. She was amazing! And even engaged in conversation. As we did not know exactly where we were going. “I spent about five hours here in the morning, and I must say, this is a wonderful place. Compared to other places, there’s great communication between customers and staff, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Additionally, other groups of customers spent around three hours chatting before they left, which adds to the lively vibe here. From what I observed, there were no people in difficult circumstances or smoking, so I think the crowd here isn’t an issue. I also saw many families with children.
While the view itself isn’t particularly notable, the place offers Wi-Fi, chargers, and cozy sofas, allowing for a comfortable, long stay. Since I work on my laptop, having these three things available is incredibly convenient. I also noticed other people working on laptops, so it seems like a suitable spot for getting work done.
Note: I recommend bringing headphones or earphones.
