Big Bone BBQ and Wicked Wings Barrie

When I used to work at this place years back, I was expected to make some good quality food for a fair price. We remodeled the dining room to make you feel like you were at a back yard BBQ. Music was backyard BBQ style, tv had some kind of BBQ feeling and the place hit you in the face with the smell of smoked ribs and wings!

Since the new owners took over this place had crashed! Theres been no change to the style of the place, it has this STRONG! smell of burning incense's almost to where you can't breath. Music that I can't understand (not because it too quiet). And the tv is just news. BBQ atmosphere does not exist!

Food was mid. If you like moshed fries because there's a lake of gravy on your poutine then I guess it's fine. Staff was unwelcoming, felt like I ruined this lady's life after saying something about the smell of the place.

Getting the food was fast though. But how long does it really take to throw a few fries on my gravy lunch...

All in all, 1 of 20... will never be back witch is sad. Place used to be pretty good.

Meat was dry, and very minimal meat on the ribs. Although their party packs are a great option for large groups, I wouldn’t order again.

Great service and good was amazing. We had the rib and smoked wing combo… both were really good. The fries are some of the best crunchy fries we’ve ever had!! Will come back!

Place is alot different then it used to be.... do not recommend......

Don’t go! This place won’t last long. The food was terrible. The ribs had ZERO meat on them. Not sure how that’s even possible. The burger was a dried out burned piece of cardboard. And the restaurant was empty (I should’ve known) the service was not good, I had to ask for my bill and takeaway container and as mentioned - we were the only people there. Should’ve just thrown my $60 in the garbage and grabbed a red hot from the grocery store

So disappointed, ribs undercooked, fries cold dry, looks like they have been heated up one too many times. Wings dry and tasteless.
I love to give positive feedback, called the business and they were not receptive to feedback

Was a quiet lunch. Not busy at all. The food was delicious. Price was amazing for what we got. Service was on point. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

Hey Owner - you’re restaurant is dirty, unfriendly and the food is just disgusting. Why do you get so defensive with reviews? If you put half the effort that you do arguing the reviews into actually fixing your restaurant….you know what, NOTHING is going to save your terrible restaurant. Do us all a favour and just shut down. Sell the place to someone who cares

FEBREEZE scented take-out bags ruined it for me. This place used to be very good, but has changed quite a lot in the last couple years. Sometimes the food is really good, sometimes it is a miss. HOWEVER, my biggest issue is the take-out bags are FEBREEZE scented, and it leaves a lingering taste on the food which is really gross. We have stopped ordering here and gone to another location. It’s a shame, as it was really good before.

We ate there yesterday and we had ribs and wings and fries, beans and coleslaw! The wings and fries and beans were good but the rest no so good! The food was mediocre! What killed it for me was how disgusting the washroom was and overall the cleanliness of the place! So disappointing as it was such a good restaurant to eat at before these owners took it over! We actually threw out ours leftovers because of the cleanliness of the place! The waitress was good either! Never got up once to see if we needed anything else or to even bring our bill! I had to go over and ask her how to pay! And if you can sit all day then clean the place
Up! The trophies at the front entrance are so dirty, and clearly not trophies from them winning! Clean it up and maybe people will come back! Not me though! You lost us as customers from the disgusting washrooms!

The ribs were undercooked, literally white & the sauce was to cover it up. Coleslaw was gross & the cornbread was dry. Needless to say it’s my first & last visit..
