Big Bone BBQ and Wicked Wings Barrie

Was there yesterday May 24/2025, have eaten or take out previously, the new owners are cooking way to far in advance and serving you outdated dried out ribs covered in sauce to try and hide the fact they are next to stale, let alone very charred on the grill to reheat the ribs. The price now all in for a full rack is $36.00 what a complete waste of money , actually disgusting.

We had the worst experience with this restaurant, and we hope we can get a refund, we ordered over the phone some ribs cause they were famous and is unbelievable the quality, we spent $77 dollars and the food is tasteless, meatless, not sauce at all, please help us.

Nice place and people, but compared to the Markham location the ribs are terrible and fries are way overcooked. They need to go visit the Markham location to taste what real ribs should taste like.

And even when the food wasn’t eaten a discount wasn’t even offered. While I don’t care, it’s about the principal. To me I don’t feel this location lives up to the high standards I’m use to.

Would give this location a 0 if I could. I have been going to the islington and highway 7 location for over 15 years. Absolutely horrified by the food and the price at this location. I will be a forever customer of Memphis BBQ, however the quality at this location is absolutely disgusting. Stay away!

Ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich, amazing taste. The owners are incredibly nice, great price, and cool decor. Been here multiple times and cant recommend enough.

Absolutely delicious! We got the pled pork platter, the big bone combo and an order of pig skins. The pig skins were soo good We contemplated going back for another order! Our bellies were too full, the chicken wings and pulled pork were perfect, we will definitely be back!

Been coming here for years and does never disappoint.
My wife, daughter and myself get treated like family, and not to forget the amazing customer service every time we come. Always an outstanding experience that leads us to coming back almost every month.

We ordered the Big Bone Combo with frings (as an optional upcharge). The food was delivered with fries. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. Everything tasted as though it had been prepared the previous day. We received dry, stale corn bread and chewy fries. I could not attempt the ribs but my husband was disappointed in them as well as the wings. We will not eat there again.

I'll change my review when they properly scrub their toilets.
I've been twice and enjoyed the food both times for the most part, last time the ribs were a little tough. I also never had a bad experience with service, it's adequate and doesn't need to anything more than what it is, in my experiences.

BUT the first time I went the men's bathroom was disgusting. It smelled of very stale urine and the toilet bowl is (still) deeply stained. I politely told the hostess about the issue and decided to not write a review so they had a chance to address the issue. I went back this weekend for my birthday. There was about a month in between visites and the bathroom was still distugusting and the toilet had not been properly scrubbed to remove the stains.

Go get some CLR and fix the issue. Your patrons deserve better. I'd still go again (although not for awhile) for the food, but I'll change this review to all 1 star ratings if the bathroom isn't clean. I'll change my review and make it better if it's clean.

I recently visited Barrie Big Bone BBQ, and I have to say I was disappointed. The ribs were overcooked and dried out, lacking the smoky flavor I was hoping for. To make matters worse, the owners seemed uninterested and dismissive when I mentioned my experience. It's a shame because the atmosphere had potential, but the service and food left a lot to be desired. I won’t be returning.

Beyond disappointed. Quite disgusted by everything about this place, the food and how I was treated as a customer. I waited 30 minutes for my food as I had not called in advance which was totally fine. Got home and found out my order was missing a kids burger with cheese which I had paid for. I called to let them know what happened and girl at the front passed the phone over to her manager. I told him what happened and all he kept saying was”I made it and put in a box..”
I told him I got a container of fries but it was missing the kids burger. I honestly did not want to drive back and get the food they missed but I felt bad for my daughter as she had been waiting patiently and was very hungry. I could really care less about the 12 bucks it cost me. To sum it up, the manager was very unprofessional and rude and accused me of making all this up and did not offer a resolution. I had even told him to check the other orders as they may have put my daughter’s burger in someone else’s order. He continued to be rude and unprofessional and said there was nothing he could do. When I told him that he leaves me no choice but to write a review about this, he hung up on me.
I have been to Big Bone in Newmarket and remember the food being really good. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. The portions were big. The food we got was almost inedible and cost almost 50 bucks. The food obviously reflects the people that work there. This location is ruining the franchise. There has to be something done about this location or it may end up closing down. You don’t treat prople or customers like that in general.

The staff/owners there seemed like they were doing their best but, the food is rough.

Ribs are dry and tough.
Fries are cold / soggy
Corn bread hard as a rock and seems stale.
The tub of sauce was ice cold.
Coleslaw was dry.

Last time we ate here was a year ago or so and it was great. I hope they bounce back!
