Bohemia is the best! This quaint coffee shop is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Barrie with both street and lake views! The cafe is decorated with ornate detailing and rinky dinks everywhere you look! I describe it best as a stylish thrift store vibe - in the BEST way! So cute and aesthetically pleasing. Somewhere you can bring your grandmother or the girls & the gays! They are extremely inclusive and I feel welcomed every single time I step in their doors whether I'm with my partner or by myself.

The menu selection is small but it's everything you could ever need. The baristas have perfected their craft and the drinks are always made with attention to detail and quality! Not to mention they're all sweethearts. Whoever the baker is, I just need you to know that I would give you EVERYTHING I OWN for that focaccia bread oh my god! Everything that's baked is flawless and insanely delicious. They have sweet, salty, breakfast & lunch items and they rotate their menu with seasonal items. YUM!

Love love love you bohemia <3

Love the character of this cafe! They have limited coffee but they do it good. They serve cookies, cakes, biscuits and sandwiches.
They sell plants, flowers both fresh and dried, seeds, plant care, and fertilizers, bees wax, cards and a bunch more things.

Absolutely loved my visit to Bohemia Cafe! The cozy, vintage-inspired vibe immediately makes you feel at home. The decor is stunning, with a perfect blend of classic furniture and warm lighting that creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.

The coffee was top-notch—smooth, rich, and beautifully presented with latte art. The selection of desserts was delightful; the chocolate cake was moist and decadent, and the cookie had just the right crunch. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours, whether you’re catching up with friends or just unwinding with a book.

Definitely coming back—this place is a hidden gem!

A Whimsical Morning Escape!

I’ve been meaning to try Bohemia for the past couple of years, and I finally got around to it! I went earlier this week at 8:30 a.m. with a friend, and as soon as I stepped in, I immediately took in the interior—it felt whimsical. There were fairy lights on the stairs, plants everywhere, and little design choices that made it feel as if I was stepping into a world where fairies belong. It was so cute!

I ordered the apple cider and an apple scone with caramel drizzled on top. The apple cider was delicious—it tasted like that classic winter comfort drink everyone loves. But it was the scone that truly blew me away.

Normally, I’m not a fan of scones. However, this one was amazing! It was warm and moist, with apple slices and just the right amount of spices that made it so flavorful. The caramel added a lovely touch of sweetness. It was the first time I’ve ever truly enjoyed a scone.

I would definitely recommend stopping by this café to liven up your mornings, or even just to sit, read, or chat with a friend.

Been a few times now, staff is super friendly and the food is soooo freaking good. I love a sweet treat, I love the flowers they have from another company that is also there. Go check it out, it’s yummy and relaxing. The picture is a cherry oat bar and a cinnamon apple muffin, both were very good :)

Each time I’ve been here, the drinks I’ve been served were bland, and the service was incredibly slow. One person taking orders and one person making drinks is not enough when you’re such a popular spot. The flowers sold here are also often not priced, but the lady who works the till has zero information about them, and will simply not sell them to you. I also noticed that the wheelchair ramp they have is wobbly and not flush with the ground, but the store is too crowded for anyone using one to enter. Charging the prices you do for products that are not worth it in effort or ingredients is quite a choice as well. If I want to go to a loud cafe with nowhere to sit, and the same quality, I’d go to Tim’s. The decorations you have up do not negate poor service and bad quality. I’d love to see more passion towards basic things, like your drinks.

If you are a student wanting to sit in a cafe to do work do NOT go here - the staff member that we interacted with was very rude and passive aggressive. I also have never heard the staff being louder than the people in the cafe. It’s hard to concentrate when the staff members are yelling and speaking loud so the whole downtown Barrie could hear them.

Bohemia is the best café in Downtown Barrie, offering chai that tastes remarkably authentic and the most delicious and unique treats. The staff always welcomes you with a warm smile, creating a true sense of belonging—especially for newcomers and immigrants. It’s run by some of the kindest people I’ve met in my three years in this country.

The food here is always great. Service is too as well, unless they get chatting too much and forget your order is heating. Allowing dogs inside a restaurant is just a big NO for me; not paying to sit beside a dog to eat.
