californias - amazing veals and chicken Sammies. This is a new spot in Barrie and my first time to it - but it’s not as nice as some of the other locations - smaller and undergoing some interior work by the look of it. I Normally hit the OG location in Toronto but thought I’d do this one. Ordered the Veal XHot / Provolone and olives. Made fresh in front of me and was excellent - even near closing time. If you like big sandwiches - California’s is a classic spot.

Good food with decent portion sizes.Clean dining area with limited decor.Missed opportunity to upsell, was never asked what size for my sides and assumed smalls.Another customer wanted a particular item but when told they did not have takeout boxes to package the item, they never suggested another item and lost a potential sale.Staff were gossiping about another coworker who seemed to be in distress outside, making the atmosphere a little uncomfortable.

I had the chicken sandwich few times and is amazing food but the main problem is the tiny aluminum wrapping paper got in the sandwich every time. I believe they cut the sandwich in half while the sandwich is on the aluminum paper is the cause of the problem. This is a health concern if someone is not pay attention and start eating the sandwich. Please either cut the sandwich first or change the sandwich wrapping paper to non aluminum. Thank you

630 PM on a Saturday Feb 3 2024. Girl answers the phone can I put you on a quick hold 7mins. Takes my order 4 4 hot meals. Then as I am driving there calls back 14 mins later to say we have no vealnor chicken left. Time for a new manager I would think.

Favourite place to eat right now.Spicy chicken Sandwich no toppings is my order. Mini sandwiches are great for the kids. I order for pickup and its always ready and fresh for pickup when I get there. My only wish is they were open on Sundays!Parking: big parking lot lots of parkingKid-friendliness: mini sandwiches are really good and realistically 2 meals for a small child
