A complete surprise when we were visiting Barrie for the week. Had originally planned to go to a neighbouring restaurant, but the sign drew us in, and the food kept us here as it and the service were spectacular. Highly recommended.
My wife and I are sushi lovers and travel frequently, always on the lookout for great spots — and Sakuro Izakaya absolutely delivered.
The sashimi was incredibly fresh and well-cut, and the sushi rolls were beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Everything was presented with care, and you could tell the ingredients were top-notch.

We have travelled
Ontario and eaten at many sushi restaurants but this was the best experience! The food was so fresh, portions were full of fish and the flavour was wonderful! Highly recommended and the best in the North!
