First time trying Fil's this morning and I won't lie, at first I wasn't sure but the family that owns and runs this restaurant are so nice. The service was great. The food and coffee were fantastic. They even walked around with a basket full of candy and chocolates to share. This was half of my western omelette that came with potatoes and toast. Fil's special hot sauce is addictive!

This charming little diner will keep you busy while you wait for your meal gazing upon the assortment of knickknacks that adorn the walls. A collage built over time from the guests over the years. Authentic Greek options and classic greasy spoon selections are available on the menu. A totally overlooked gem packed with nostalgia.

Stopped in here for breakfast recently, based on the reviews.The place is VERY small, only about 10 tables, and it's VERY cluttered with things on the wall, and could definitely use a cleaning, especially in the bathrooms, and some updating and paint. You feel like you're eating at grammas house. Literally.But! The couple that runs the place are super, very friendly and welcoming, easy to talk to, they know everyone by name, and the food is very good, portions are decent and prices are fair.Some areas for improvement; The coffee wasn't very good, the breakfast sausage was "porky" tasting, and the home fries were under cooked and needed more crisping.I'd suggest some light music so it's not so awkwardly quiet in such a small place.The bacon was good, eggs were cooked perfectly, French toast was awesome! Overall it was a good experience.

i would rate 10 stars if it has! we look for breakfast place randomly, and found this place. It's a small but really warm place(like you are in grandparents's house). The hosts serve really good food and they keep serving you candies and cookies?, which just like what grandparents do...The price is reasonable and I really appreciate that since the CPI is going so high now. The restaurant has lots of collections, so you can enjoy looking at them while waiting for your food. we would definitely come again!
The food is amazing, and the space is extremely cozy and nicely decorated. Had a really great experience after running into a small hiccup, the small issue was handled with a lot of kindness and care and we definitely would recommend this place for anyone who’s in the area. Thank you for taking care of us!

I’ve been to Fils many times before and it’s always been great. The food is amazing, and Fil and his wife are the nicest kindest people you could meet. We unfortunately had to wait quiteSome time for our food to arrive to the table, we mentioned this as we were paying and to just get a discount on the drinks or something, and Fil in the nicest sweetest manner told us to not pay at all and thanked us for not making a big deal. I argued with him for 2 minutes to allow me to pay and he flat out refused and told us he wouldn’t accept it lolThe food was very very tasty and we’ll always come back. We were slightly agitated at the table and left feeling flat out guilty for the meal in the end because him and his wife are so sweet and kind lol. I highly recommend the cafe because not only is the food amazing, they’re salt of the earth people.

We were looking for a breakfast place. Found this amazing place to eat. They were extremely nice people, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the peameal bacon eggs and toast. Get a side of sausages ?. 10/10 we will be back for another visit.Parking: There are lots of spots to part. Wonderful location ?

I would give Fil's 10 stars if I could! Especially for the decor and amazing food. Fil and his wife are a treasure in Barrie and I love his sense of humor, Greek humor is legendary! I'm so glad to live around the corner, this is definitely my new go to place! Also the best hot sauce I've ever had, I just had to buy a bottle for home.
