No other brew pub like it.
Fun vibrant atmosphere, decent food, and of course top quality beer.
2026 update - love the big salad!! This is the best apres ski place ❤️
2025 - Love this place - wicked decor, great staff, cozy, tasty food and delicious beer. Also the decorative walls between tables are simple but genius - makes you feel like it's your own space.
Been drinking their beer for years and FINALLY made it into Weird HQ.
What a goddamn delight.
The vibe, the service, the beers, the cheers: I had a great time from start to finish. Tried the double smash burger with fries and gravy and what made scientist sauce boss in the kitchen that made that garlic aioli deserves a raise.; and so does the assistant manager.
They should probably also get a flight board to take home for good measure.
Anyway, 10/10 would get weird again.
Very good beer in a fun place. We always like to stop here when passing by.
Busy on a Saturday evening. Good selection of beers on tap
Madison thank you for your hospitality and help. Cool looking place with great good and best drinks. Highly recommend!
First time at the Flying monkey bar and grill and the food and drinks are amazing. Great staff and friendly service and very welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to more memories and visits at your Barrie location. Server and bartenders were amazing and excellent service. They deserve raises and promotions. Thank you for a great time!!! 😃😃
The beer is spectacular but the food is meh. The service is fantastic. The high chairs and tables are uncomfortable but it was possible to get a different table as there was no crowds in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve due to the weather. With the pickle flatbread/pizza special was on the menu, it was awesome.
We drove up from Oshawa to Barrie to see Francesca Panetta (@singing.hippie) perform live and to check out Flying Monkeys Brewery, and we absolutely loved the entire experience.
The brewery itself has such a fun, energetic vibe. The neon atmosphere, the service request light switches, and the live music all made it feel unique and memorable. We enjoyed a few flights of beer and loved being able to sample such a great variety.
The nachos were amazing and definitely worth ordering. We also couldn’t leave without picking up some glassware and a few toques as souvenirs.
Between the music, the atmosphere, the food, and the beer, it was a fantastic night out. We will definitely be coming back to Barrie for another visit to Flying Monkeys.
Lucky to have such a great brewery in Barrie. :)

Great beer and fantastic staff, the atmosphere is amazing and so uniquely decorated which makes it a really cool place to visit.
The major downside was the food options and pricing for vegans. There is a vegan nacho option, however it doesn’t come with a protein ground like the regular nachos do. We asked if they could add a vegan burger patty instead (and were totally fine with an extra charge), but were told it would be $12 + tax for one single patty. That made the food unreasonably expensive, so we decided not to order as the nachos would have come to $50, which is honestly an absolute joke.
This isn’t a reflection of the staff at all, our server was great. This feedback is for management/ownership.
PSA to any vegans wanting to visit Flying Monkeys: Mexhico Restaurant is just a few minutes away, completely Vegan, and has awesome owners and staff.
I love this place. Its nice to have somewhere to go that offers a great selection of non alcoholic beverages. The staff and the food are amazing. Thank you
First and foremost, I highly recommend doing their free weekend tours. The staff there are really nice, and knowledgeable about their drinks, including the process and factory. We explored the entire back door of the brewery and saw how their drinks and products are made, the history and some other near facts.
The restaurant is pretty hip, their beers are packaged in very artistic and abstract Designs which are very eye catching. It's worth stopping by Flying Monkeys if you're visiting the Barrie area!
It was more than a brewery but an experience!! You could stay for a week and still see something new. Great selection of beers for all tastes and I highly recommend the smashed burger. Best I’ve ever had!!
Awesome spot to try craft beers (food is alright)! Only thing is with the live music is that it was super loud and it was kinda hard to hold a conversation.
