No matter you drive thru or visiting Barrie On, you can miss this Ontario Craft brewery. They have 16 beers on Tap, pizza, nachos, wings to pair it. After the beer you can walk around Barrie lakeshore too. Sounds like a plan? 😀
I know their beer from LCBO and my local grocery store carry them and I really like it. The experiment with it with very good results. So been in Barrie where the brewery is decided to pay them a visit. There are two noticable elements, of course number one to mention been what they are is their product (beer of course) they really have a great selection available with a range for a wide variety of tastes, and second to mention is their service which is very, very good. Our server very knowledgeable in the field. Food is good, pub style, but is not the main reason you go to a brewery, but it was a good note on the side of the beer.

Amazing
Great atmosphere!! 💯💕 The food and drink is absolutely 10/10 with a fun, wide variety of original options!! They've also got some pretty cool live music happening 👀✨ with Open Mics on the upper floor, the first Wednesday of every month!! GO CHECK IT OUT ☺️🎶 Definitely my favorite spot to be, downtown Barrie.
I’m a huge flying monkey beer lover and was in Barrie yesterday so what better opportunity to visit its brewery / restaurant . We arrived and ordered some great beers and food. Beers were delicious and food was great. When our food came we were asked if we needed anything else , I asked for some hot sauce for my fries ( always add a little hot sauce to my ketchup ) no problem said the server. Our bill came 116 , I then went in and bought some FM merch & some beer to take home that was another 25 bucks. So all in I spent around 160 with tip. Today I was looking over my bill as I wanted to know the name of one of the the beer I had and noticed I was changed 50 cents for the hot sauce. Are you kidding me , so you just add things to the bill without informing your customers? If I asked for salt & pepper or vinegar wound I also have been charged ? Come on FM , be upfront and inform your customer of this. If someone asks for an item let them know there’s an up charge . I should have been told “no problem on the hot sauce sir but just want to let you know there’s a 50 cents charge for it “ . This might seem trivial but really has made me think about if I’d ever go back to this establishment again. I love their beers but come on FM 50 cents for some hot sauce and to not even tell me there is a cost.
UPDATE ***********
Hey FM , sent an email to the address you listed on Aug 6 and guess what no reply back after 6 days . I’m even more disappointed
Great vibe. Great food. Excellent craft beer. Great/Quick service. And to top it off the wattresses are amazing ! Couldnt ask for more . If u haven't been i HIGHLY recommend u check them out! A++++++
What an amazing place but most importantly hell of a great beer. Atmosphere is uplifting, very colorful place and the live music was a hit.
The pretzel was out of this world and the sausage board to die for. Good job Flying Monkeys 👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻
Great choice of craft beers made there. Decent food, pretzel is great. Wings with BBQ sauce is good, honey garlic lack flavour. Washroom could use some cleaning.
The food and atmosphere is always top notch when we go there, but for the past 2-3 months when we've come in to fill our growler, they've told us the machine is broken. A little disappointing.
We were in Barrie for the day and meandering downtown. We were really happy with our patio experience. One vegan and non-drinker appreciated the nachos and Lava Lamp IPA. Psychelic decor, friendly staff, great beer, and food....we will be back.

never dispointed with the beers and foods the beers variety will surprise you today got a flight love every one
Finally got to hit the patio, great vibe! We shared a sheet of nachos, seasoned really well and not a single chip without toppings. The beer? Always really good. IPA's, sours and lagers seem to be the best.
Awesome. Terrific food, huge selection of craft beers. Flights are a must!
This review is long overdue regardless on a regular basis this place has the best vibe, service and food in Barrie (just wish they had a waterfront view location)
But apart from this I want to give a special shoutout to Nico, I recently reserved the space upstaires for a going away party, they were prompt with responses and answered any questions I had. Day of my expectations were exceeded as I did not know what the space looked like and it was better than i had imagined, Nico took care of us during our time and did an absolute stellar job. He was personable, beyond helpful to set up and was extremely attentive to everyone that was there including knowing people by name. I can honestly say I’ve never had better service. If you choose to reserve the space upstaires make sure to request Nico, 20 out of 10.
I started with the Birdyard sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, and the fries were among my favourites—crispy and perfectly seasoned. However, I was quite disappointed with the tacos. The tortilla was unfortunately dry, tough, and had an off-putting smell, reminiscent of the kind served at the New former nightclub in Downtown Barrie. The combination of pickled ingredients, sweet jalapeños, and sour cream created a flavour profile that felt unbalanced to me—almost like baby reflux in taste and texture.
That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere vibrant and upbeat. Chef, please don’t take this the wrong way—fusion and street food can be incredible when the flavours are thoughtfully combined. I wish you the best of luck with your next creation and look forward to seeing how the menu evolves.
