I love this place. Its nice to have somewhere to go that offers a great selection of non alcoholic beverages. The staff and the food are amazing. Thank you

First and foremost, I highly recommend doing their free weekend tours. The staff there are really nice, and knowledgeable about their drinks, including the process and factory. We explored the entire back door of the brewery and saw how their drinks and products are made, the history and some other near facts.
The restaurant is pretty hip, their beers are packaged in very artistic and abstract Designs which are very eye catching. It's worth stopping by Flying Monkeys if you're visiting the Barrie area!

It was more than a brewery but an experience!! You could stay for a week and still see something new. Great selection of beers for all tastes and I highly recommend the smashed burger. Best I’ve ever had!!

Awesome spot to try craft beers (food is alright)! Only thing is with the live music is that it was super loud and it was kinda hard to hold a conversation.

The food is over priced and boring. Stick to the beer.

Flying Monkey is a visual treat to visit, the best looking place on that main street in Barrie!

And not only that, they got some fine quality beverages for you to enjoy there OR take home.

Now, they already had the best chocolate beer in the market with their Chocolate Manifesto, but they got a seasional chocolate stout sample box you can only really get there?!? I'm all in on that!

Not a hard drinker? No worries. Their flavoured seltzers are rather nice too!

Haven't had the chance to try the food, but there's always a happy looking crowed and a sweet patio there so i'm sure its pretty good.

Cheers!

We really liked it, the amateur musicians were great, we are very happy that you support young people in this way, your concept is great, the staff is friendly, we will see you again.

A Disappointing Experience That Truly Hurt

I’ve always loved this brewery — great beer, good food, and a fun atmosphere — which makes this review difficult to write.

I stopped in on a beautiful afternoon for a patio beer with my dog, but from the moment I arrived, I felt like an unwelcome inconvenience. It took over 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and when I finally placed my order, the server forgot about it entirely. He was kind and apologetic once he realized, but by then the tone had been set.

When his shift ended, he introduced the new server and explained what had happened — but things only went downhill from there. She spent time chatting with tables all around me while completely ignoring mine. When I eventually asked to order food, it was clear I’d been forgotten again.

To make matters worse, the hosts at the front acted like a group of high school mean girls — glancing, whispering, and making it impossible not to feel welcome. I’ve traveled, eaten, and had drinks on my own for years, and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or invisible.

What they’ll probably never realize is that I walked in having a wonderful day, happy to stop by a place that used to make me feel good. But the way I was treated left me feeling small and embarrassed — like I didn’t belong there at all. It’s painful how quickly a few careless moments can undo someone’s joy.

I’m sharing this not to discourage others from visiting, but in the hope that management sees it and reminds the staff that every guest deserves to feel seen and welcome. This has always been a great place — I just hope it can feel that way again.

Cool and fun place with quirky decor. Usually about 20 brews on tap, many with experimental blends. Good food and excellent beer. Ask for a Viva Puff-- it's a powerful, delicious mix of Chocolate Manifesto stout and 12 Minutes to Midnight hibiscus fruit beer. It tastes like those cookies we loved as kids. Relaxed, good for families and small groups.

Very good place. Nice atmosphere and very tasty and fresh food, my husband loves their beer. We go there almost every weekend and never had any unpleasant experience. Highly recommend.
