Used to be one of my fave local places under the old owner and staff, since they left everything went downhill. Every topping was at charge and they got super defensive and rude when asked about it. Further, food was frequently handled without gloves and there was a severe lack of handwashing the two times I went in. Between this and the messy responses to other reviewers, it shows a lack of professionalism and I’m not surprised it’s closing. I hope the best for them going forward & that they consider what customers are saying

You can see it’s been going down hill for years if you look them up on a Reddit. They’re immature and very fragile egos because people aren’t happy a semi established restaurant went to poo.
The donair was good but being so desperate for cash that you have to charge on toppings that would be free at 99% of other burger restaurants was my final straw and it seems like enough people have told you that going bare bones and looking desperate is probably why people jumped to better restaurants. But yes keep claiming it’s because all of Barrie is racist.
Ps if the donair was worth it then you’d still be in business.

The last owners replying in the comments ran that place into the ground. The quality of food dipped and they made it seem like it was a massive crime if you used something like skip the dishes. My last straw was when I tried to get a Donair with pickles and they wanted to charge extra. If they can name me 5 restaurants in Barrie that do that then I’ll apologize for judging them on that.
As a mixed race person I’m ashamed they would resort to saying their customers are racist when they decided to run their business poorly.
Hopefully the new owners of the chicken place don’t follow in their footsteps.

The owner is the rudest man I have ever met, disrespectful and scammer. Charging for lettuce and tomatoes and onions on a burger? That's insane and refused giving me a refund for my meal, when it was not even made yet.

Edit: new ownership probably its gone downhill significantly. Small Donair is 10$ large Donair is 16+tax. Very tasty but not the same as it used to be.

The best burgers in barrie, hands down. The owners are very nice. No gluten free buns but they were careful not to contaminate and were very accommodating to my allergy. We didn't stay and dine in but atmosphere gets 5 stars because I couldn't give more than 5 for the delicious burger. Amazing. Will be back for sure.

I had a hot dog & it was well cooked… my issue is with the service from the Indian lady. I asked for my ingredients (including pickles) she put 1 pickle on which covered 1/2 the hot dog bun - I simply asked her to add another to balance the ingredients — she refused! I’m 57 years old and have NEVER had any establishment deny you an ingredient on your sandwich .
I typically don’t leave poor reviews, but this somehow really bothered me.
It is another example of a restaurant that has degraded their service level & yet expect people to pay premium prices. I also despise the “ask for tip” button at the initial stage of payment process. Tip for service after not prior to the meal.

Started going to this place after placing an order through a delivery app, and fell in love with the quality of the food here. Best burger I've had in a long time. Big portions, good price for a burger and honestly stopping in and grabbing one takes about 5 minutes. I love the atmosphere, very friendly family owned, good place for a quick bite. Skip Wendy's or McDonald's and just try this place out.

The larger burger was huge definitely worth it if your hungry tasted great and the service was top tier and very friendly.
Tried their samosa today felt like I was in India eating them. They were so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place. The food, the atmosphere and the service everything is on the top. The staff is really nice and I’m glad that visited this place, will come again and again to eat samosas.

So rude onwer here lady everytime come here start making excuses to give order late also reject my hot bag that i cant take order in worst onwer very rude with her work colleagues too so disappointing One of my friend work here for 3-4 days and then you lady onwer didn’t paid him single penny now you will be in big trouble you have google account under this store name and reply me in reviews so good i have to complain to franchise company who gave you this restaurant to run you hire person to work for you and kick off them after 1-2 week so many complaints already had on facebook that you didn’t paid them i will definitely complain this on higher level

The good: The staff (I presume the owner) was very welcoming and pleasant when taking my order.
The mediocre: l ordered the burger/fries/drink special. I had been here a couple of years ago so I kind of knew what to expect. Unfortunately I can't say that it was the same quality. Although the meat itself seemed fresh, it was under seasoned , if seasoned at all. The lettuce was all stems and no leaf. Even the condiments were bland. The fries, although not over cooked, tasted like the ones you would get if from frozen. Too crispy for me. The atmosphere was also underwhelming, with Indian music playing on their sound system.
The ugly: While waiting for my order ,I visited the restroom. Uugh. Totally disgusting. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.
I hope that the owner uses this review to make some positive changes. I would love to go back since I know that the potential is there. *
