One of the best coffee shops in downtown Barrie. Really nice coffee and a beautiful rustic dining room. The place is super busy especially during the morning rush hour on weekends, so be prepared to wait in line a bit.

What a treat !
The bakery was very welcoming. We went on a Saturday morning for lunch and holy was it busy. It's so nice to see people supporting local.
The food was incredible, the autumn drink was delicious , the local & but sandwiches were so fresh . Zero complaints and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

I can't believe I send that much on cookies which weren't even good. They weren't fresh at all, last time I ever try this place and I live above it basically.

I went to homestead after a really rough morning because I love their food and coffee. They were out of ice for my iced coffee and sold out the sandwich of the day that I wanted, but the staff said lemme make your day better. They apologized(which I know at the end of the day it isn’t their fault), I ended up ordering the pizza of the day which came with a salad(delicious by the way) and the cashier gave me a free pastry of choice for the inconvenience. I love this place and how they treat their customers. I’ll always come back here

Was looking for an independent restaurant close to the Barrie Cineplex Theatre.
Found this little gem right off Bryne Drive.
Lots of parking, nice spacious atmosphere and an extensive menu.
We had a great meal.
I had the liver and onions, my son had the PohBo Sandwich.
Both were delicious.
Pretty interesting 0% drinks too.
I had some type of soda with juice and herbs, dry tasty and refreshing.
Home made deserts!
I had the freshly baked banana bread with cream cheese dressing.
Heaven! And a very generous portion.
Very congenial waitress with good service.
Highly recommend this primarily breakfast spot, but open for dinner until 8:00 p.m.

This is one amazing place! Food is amazing, service is great / employees are friendly and we saw this on Food Network - project bakeover so we thought we'd come and check out the place and it was fantastic. Can't wait to come back!!!

Don’t trust the one star reviews; not sure how people can complain about a local place that makes things from scratch. If you want basic drip coffee in 5 seconds, go to Tim’s. If you want a tasty cup of coffee or crafted drink, perfection cannot be rushed and will always be worth the wait. People need to slow down and enjoy the simple things. Been coming to Homestead for years and after seeing some gross entitled Karen’s pestering the staff for their drinks this morning (you know, rush hour on a Saturday…), I just had to write a review. The staff is always super kind, even under pressure and with rude customers. The food and drinks are also always excellent. I will continue to support local - thank you for everything you do Homestead!

Good option for grab a coffee in Barrie, we choose also some cinnamon rolls and they were good.
Was very crowded so we go out and wait a couple hours, I guess was the rush of the morning ?. At 1pm was more calm, all good, we need to try the breakfast food next time, just knowing we need to arrive early.
