I have been coming to the Mapleview Barrie Jack Astors as a regular at table 283
The first thing I do upon entering is look to the left behind the bar to see my Sassy Deb !!!
A simple look and head acknowledgment meaning get to your table … I will be there in short order
And that she always is with a funny and cute smile almost to say I didn't mean that
What can I get you ??
Her presence and joyful and playful banter is what keeps me coming back

PS Always has a soap free wine glass and talks me into a half price bottle of wine for economic purposes

Food was great, service was great our server Christine was awesome. We were in a bit of a rush and she got us fed, packaged up and out well within the time we needed to leave- we’ve been served by her before and she’s excellent, so friendly and caring and really knows her stuff!! 👍🏼

The fish tacos have been consistently very good.. Brooke did a great job serving us on the patio. I definitely recommend this Jacks..

We dropped in to Jack's for lunch for 3 people and were seated almost immediately in a booth. The service was good, but it did take some time for the server to acknowledge us and bring us water, certainly longer than we're used to (> 5 minutes). Server was friendly. The menu was quite extensive with great variety, but we ordered 3 lunch entrees and the quality of the food was a bit underwhelming. Atmosphere is more of a bar than a restaurant, bar area was quite large and the rock music quite loud for lunchtime - our chatter in the booth was subdued as we could not clearly hear one another clearly. Average experience, nothing uniquely positive or negative. 3 stars.

The patio is nice, the tuna poke salad was delicious and the decor was super fun for summer. The service was also great - I never had to wait and friendly (thanks for the recommendation Becky B!)
