Food is great and good value. Service, friendly and genuine. Not super cozy but it's a diner. We always go back. Especially recommend for breakfast or lunch.

Travelled to Barrie in a snowstorm for a tournament. My husband and I went there for breakfast. It cost us just over $35 and we only got a simple breakfast. My husband brought in his small coffee cup and the waitress rudely said that she wouldn't top it up because the coffee couldn't leave the restaurant. It cost 2.75 for a coffee which included top ups. That left a very poor impression and will not go back and will not recommend. The potatoes/hashbrowns had a very different flavor that we did not care for.

It is an absolutely wonderful place to eat. Never had a bad experience with food or service. If you haven't been, go for brunch with a friend.

Found this little spot on my way up to Blue Mountain. It's in a strip mall not far from the 400, so it was easy to hop off and on the highway. When we walked in, the place was packed! We got there for lunch and were lucky to get a spot. Our server was friendly and quick despite it being so busy. I had a classic breakfast and it was exactly what I was looking for. Some eggs, some bacon, home fries and toast. Perfect! The price was reasonable too, all the more reason to support these smaller local spots so they are here for us to enjoy! The menu had a lot to offer, so I'll remember this place on future trips up north!

A good, fairly priced breakfast service. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and inviting. The menu is varied. Appears to be a local Mum and pop" establishment . Staff is friendly and

Little D's stands for Little Disappointing.Went in for lunch with family, and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and chicken w rice soup. The sandwich was cold, and I think they used one slice of processed cheese. Really sad looking little sandwich. I felt a little sorry for it. The soup tasted like dish water with chicken and rice. Didn't eat either, really disappointing. Honestly, Little D's usually has great food, but it's been going downhill recently. Their breakfast is usually pretty good, but this last visit left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I probably won't go back, and neither will any of my family. Only 2 stars from me, and I wouldn't honestly recommend it. Not what it used to be.

Great family owned restaurant in Barrie. We wanted to try something that wasn't from a chain restaurant, and we found Little Ds and it was exactly what we wanted. Delicious home style cooked food. The Gyro wrap and Chicken Souvlaki were delicious as well as the Liver and Onions.

The breakfast was great here! I was a bit annoyed that I ordered an omelette and asked them to substitute one type of cheese for another cheese, and for some reason they actually charged me for that substitute. But other than that, the breakfast was really great. The breakfast potatoes were very flavourful and are very delicious!! They are real sliced- up pieces of fresh potatoes...not the frozen or fried type you usually get at a breakfast place. The kids chicken fingers were plump and juicy and had some hardiness to them. They were good because they didn't seem like the skinny thin frozen ones you get at a lot of places. Seemed like really good chicken. Lastly, the french fries were delicious.
