Lone Star hosted my retirement dinner after 35 yrs in the military and it couldn't have gone better. Great food, great atmosphere, and really great staff. A shout out to Loco, Ammo, Vegas, and especially Cash who, with professionalism and an outstanding level of personal attention, took care of our every need and truly helped make the night one to remember. :)

Dinner rush on a Friday night - we had gotten off the 400 because their was an accident so we were looking for an easy bite until the highway reopened but our first two choices were hour-long waits. Lone Star was empty, but maybe that should’ve been a sign.Service was very slow to start. After being seated we received drinks maybe after 25, 30 minutes. I went to the restroom and one of the urinals had overflowed and water was running on the floor. It took awhile to find an employee to inform and they indicated that it was a known issue. My food ended up very good when it finally did arrive after a lengthy wait, so that was good. Our entire table enjoyed their meal. Our server never returned but someone from another section came over and introduced herself covering his break - after that we were looked after. She was great and things were back on track.

Do not pay attention to my review on the food as I did not order any. We went there Saturday night around 8 and it wasn't that busy. The servers were completely unattentive. We tried to flag them down for 20 minutes without success to order food and drinks. Eventually we figured out it was faster to go somewhere else.

Food was not very good at all even after they corrected my meal! I would give it a zero star but won't let me. Over priced too! Fast food would have been better and way cheaper.

It's a shame the chef's talents are overshadowed by weak service. Staff is not seen, but you can hear them laughing and chatting behind in kitchen. Steak was great, cooked exactly how I asked. Well seasoned. Tortilla chips are always warm and a nice bonus.

Went for dinner with 3 friends and the service was absolutely terrible. Waiter took our orders, shift changed before the meal was served, no cutlery on the table when the meal arrived. The chicken sandwich was ordered PLAIN, was brought to the table with sauce and tons of pickles. New waitress was no where to be found as we needed drink refills, asked for sour cream when she finally showed up to our table, she came back with drinks no sour cream, flagged her down and asked 2 more times for additional sour cream and never got it. Son complained about his sandwich and she had it remade however, everyone else at the table was done eating we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for his order come to the table and for him to eat it. Would Rather drive to Toronto and eat at another location. Won't be going back to the Park Place Restaurant.

I have never been to this location before but I went to pick up food for a family member and I was not at all impressed with the food quality. The burger had barbecue sauce (which was not on described on the menu) and I received a handful of fries on the side. The tacos were soggy with dry chicken and bacon (most likely had been sitting for a while) and they forgot the side completely. The restaurant was packed so I'm guessing the kitchen was overwhelmed, however, for the price of food (at least $20 an entree) I'd expect better from a popular chain restaurant. I gave 2-stars due to the polite hostess who served me - she was pleasant and professional. Otherwise the food I would rate at 1 star at most. I filed a complaint via email and was offered an appetizer/dessert which I have no inclination to redeem as I would not dine there nor pickup food again (they addressed the issue but not satisfactorily). It is my opinion that they do quality control of the food coming out of the kitchen if they don't already do so.

It's been a while since we visited and I have to edit my review....Sadly, Lonestar isn't what I remembered. Our first two appetizers were unavailable, service was quite slow, and we couldn't order a meal without jalapeños because "everything is pre-made".It was still good, but a $260 bill for five people didn't justify the food and service we experienced.Maybe it was an off-night for them, but I'm not spending that kind of money to find out.
