Poor service, denied coupon deal sponsoring Mental Health Association even though customer provided proof of offer. Ended up going to Dairy Queen where we were warmly welcomed with our coupon supporting CMHA
I’m writing this after yet another disappointing experience at THIS LOCATION. We went in around 9:35–9:45PM, well before closing time (which is clearly listed as 10 PM). The moment we walked in, there was no greeting - nothing even close to a basic acknowledgment. Instead, we were met with unfriendly faces and a clear attitude, as if we were doing something wrong just by walking into the store.
When we asked for ice cream, we were bluntly told that they couldn’t serve us because they had already started cleaning. Excuse me? If your closing time is 10 PM, that means customers should be able to get service until then. Cleaning should not begin while customers are still allowed in. That’s not just inconvenient for us—it’s false advertising and incredibly unprofessional.
It was clear the staff (two young girls) were just trying to close early for their own convenience. They didn’t even try to hide their attitude, eye rolls and annoyed expressions the entire time. If your staff can’t even pretend to be welcoming, why are they working in customer service?
What makes this even worse is that this isn’t a one-time issue. I’ve come here several times hoping things would improve, and every single time the experience is the same. I’ve now seen other reviews describing exactly what I went through, so clearly, this is a known problem that no one’s doing anything about.
Something seriously needs to change. Either train your staff on basic customer service, or consider hiring people who actually want to work. If you’re not going to serve customers up to your posted closing time, then don’t advertise that you’re open until 10 PM. Simple.
Horrible place. I've been there three times somewhere between 9:35-9:45 pm. I have been denied service that they cannot make any ice cream because they have closed the slab. I don't understand why you have mentioned the closing time as 10pm, when you are not serving any ice cream past 9:30pm
Very bad experience with staff as well. They are very rude as if they are doing favor or something. Come on, we are paying for our ice cream.You're not doing a charity.

But the store is filthy
One of the most disappointing and unwelcoming experiences I’ve ever had. I walked into the store at 9:45 PM, only to be met with eye-rolls from the 2 young girls as if I was an inconvenience for simply walking in. Without hesitation, they told me they couldn’t mix any ice cream, and poured water over the slab right in front of me, a clear message they didn’t want to serve me. I walked out without ordering. The blatant disregard for basic customer service felt discriminatory and frankly, disgraceful. This place should be ashamed of how they treat people

Terrible service . Don’t wast your time or money here . No wonder their business is suffering .
If there was a negative star I would give it. Asked for a milkshake with a long line behind me and the young girl working rolled her eyes at me and didn’t put topping other than ice cream in it. It’s a nice day out I get your busy but at least give customer service and not say your gonna cry while making the milkshake
Kids working here can’t take more than 2-3 customers together cause they get tired super soon and makes excuses which makes no sense to not serve you. Better attitude would bring better sales at this location. Thanks
Zero customer service. These young girls are so busy chit chatting and not acknowledging customers coming in. Unwelcoming to first time customers like us. They gave me a look when I interrupted them after waiting for a while. Bought a pint icecream with wrong label!! Says 'birthday cake' but it was vanilla inside! ughhh.. Expensive $$$ bland taste. Better spend it somewhere else!

Go here if you want the SLOWEST service around because the teenage employees are too busy bitching about coworkers and discussing weekend plans to FOCUS long enough to serve you! After 15 mins you'll receive soup instead of ice cream and pay $$$$ for it. Ill stick to Kawartha❤️
Very bad service. They close at 10:00 PM and 9:30 PM. We went in and they told me they couldn't serve us anymore
Disappointed with Customer Service
We arrived at Marble Slab at 9:45 PM, well before their posted closing time of 10 PM. Despite this, the staff refused to serve us, saying they were closed—yet they continued fulfilling Uber Eats orders while we stood there. It’s frustrating and disappointing to be turned away as a paying customer while online orders were prioritized. If the store stops taking walk-ins before 10, that should be clearly posted. We won’t be returning. These two employees were so rude and mean. They better to learn how to behave with customers. Such a shame seeing
