“Visited for the 1st time on Saturday! They had a live band which had me dancing! We ordered fish tacos and enmoladas for our main course which were absolutely delicious and came out really quick even with the 3 large parties they had. All the staff and our server were super friendly as well 😊 I tried 3 different cocktails which were all made perfectly and we stayed for dessert which we don’t normally have but the atmosphere was excellent and we were having a great time! Would highly recommend for a date night and will definitely be back soon!“

“I couldn't be more pleased. I spent time in the Yucatan (if you go, eat the carnitas there, preferably at a mom and pop shop. Cooked underground, wrapped in banana leaves, it. is. to. die. for). I used to live in San Diego. We would often hop across the border, sometimes to Tijuana and often to Ensenada, just to eat at the food carts outside. Any where the locals were, you could count on the food. It's similar here, except the Pacific Ocean is replaced with Lake Simcoe and I was eating inside the restaurant. Everything about it was excellent, brom the location to the view to the decor, the welcoming service and the food... omygawd, the food. I had a ceviche tostada that was to die for, it was so fresh and tasty. I had two carnitas tacos and an enchiladas enmolada plate. I brought most of the enchilada plate home and should have gotten more to bring home. The wonderful cook came out to ask me how I liked it after I raved to the server how yummy the ceviche was. I thanked her for the most excellent food and left a big tip. I live three hours away from Barrie, but I'll be back for sure!“

“This Fat Bastard Burrito is the Beyoncé of burrito joints. Whenever we’re in Barrie, we make a pilgrimage here like it’s a holy site wrapped in foil. Sure, there are locations closer to home, but those ones have betrayed us—either by skimping on toppings, drowning us in sauce like we wronged them personally, or in one case, serving us a surprise side of plastic glove in our burrito.

But this location? Flawless. The toppings are generous, the sauce ratio is perfect, and the burritos themselves radiate an energy that could heal broken bones and, in my case, a broken marriage. I’m proud to say this Fat Bastard didn’t just feed me—it HEALED me. In fact, my firstborn child will bear its name. Little Baby Fat Bastard, you’re destined for greatness.“
