Stopped in last week at dinner time and they were not busy at all.
Friendly service when ordering but a tad expensive when all you want is 1 piece of fish.
Fish was cooked properly ?.

My wife and I, her best friend and husband stopped here after a day at the beach. We'd heard of Reel 'Em In Fish and Chips from my sister. She said the fish and chips were excellent here and had to give it a try.
We ordered Halibut n chips x 3, an order of halibut with Jalapeno poppers, an order of calamari, onion rings and deep fried pickles.
Everything was excellent !!! < table thumping good !!!>
This was a very vocal meal with lots of Mmmms and Ahhhs and delighted groans .
The meaty fish had a light crispy golden batter - was simply delicious. The plentiful thick cut fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. My wife was eating her fish with her hands - like you'd eat a hamburger . The homemade tartar sauce was a perfect compliment with my fish! The gravy was thick and savoury. The onion rings and calamari had a nice crisp batter that was nice and light tasting and the homemade seafood sauce with perfect with the calamari. The deep fried dill pickles and a crispy batter as well and the pickles themselves were a little tart / sour and were fantastic.
The jalepeno poppers were crispy and light, and little bit of heat and the cream cheese was hot and melty. Finally, the homemade coleslaw was the bomb! It was perfectly thick cut, creamy with a sweet taste to start and ended with a mild spice kick.
I wish I had 3 of 4 servings of the slaw!!!!
Part way through the meal, the owner, Donna, came out to see how we were liking our meal and to chat with us a bit. She was friendly and told us of her inspiration to own her Fish and Chips truck, and shared her passion for the food she prepared and shares with her customers. She enjoys seeing her customers enjoy the food she prepares. She treated us like family and we will definitely be back again !
My only disappointment is that I didn't have my 5 kids with us to share this experience with them.
Thank you Donna !

Every summer we come to Barrie, we have to eat from this place. I've never tasted fries this delicious as theirs. Clearly a big difference from the organic locally grown potatos then the ones we get from the grocery stores. The fish is very fresh and full of meat and texture. And the best thing above all of that are the nice ladies running the place.

Great food but honestly, 22$ for 1 order of fish and chips at a chip truck?
Thanks Donna.
Fish and chips and fish in a bun was very filling.
A fish and chips combo can be shared between (2) people.

The portions you get here are excellent, and the customer service is pretty good! Prices get a little high, so watch what you are ordering. Other than that, a nice place to stop for a snack!

It’s not very often that I try a place and immediately go to post a review as soon as I finished eating! I ordered the halibut dinner and a small poutine. Hands down the best poutine I have ever eaten in my life and the fish and chips dinner, truly phenomenal. Literally everything was perfect! No complaints what so ever! The customer service was also wonderful so glad I decided to give this place a try! My family and I will most definitely be back. If I had one complaint it might be that they have ruined poutine and fish and chips for me, no where is going to be able to compete!

My wife was recently diagnosed with Celiac, so to find this place with dedicated gluten-free menu was a life saver. Eating from their gluten free menu here tastes just as good or even better than regular fish and chips. We returned very quickly after our first visit and will return again. Very fresh fish and very enjoyable meal all together. A great find!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options available with dedicated fryers to limit the cross-contamination.

Never disappoints. Everything we've tried we've loved. House made sauces, gluten free choices. Great service. We impatiently wait for open every year.

The absolute BEST chip truck in and around the Barrie area. Service is top notch and they always go above and beyond. We have been customers for years and always count down the days til opening day. The poutine is to die for. Layered. Cheese curd. Heaven. And the fish, so fresh & cooked to perfection.
