Great food. Wonderful staff and atmosphere. Love everything about Simmering Kettle.

I've been here twice, the first time i considered it to be one of my favorite spots. Today, I consider this my top favorite place to eat. I'm from Northern ontario and only get the rare opportunity to come by. I will be making a point to make sure of it from now on. Absolutely killer soups, sandwiches and wraps. Absolutely recommend this jewel of a diner! Thanks!!!!

Ontario used to have so many family friendly restaurants with top-notch service and food, then the Pandemic cut-short those restaurant realities. And, then, out of nowhere a hidden gem like The Simmering Kettle appears. Outstanding food made from wholesome, fresh and local produce. A kids menu that doesn't necessitate remortgaging the family home. Something hearty to snarl your husband's occasional ire that results from taking the 400 up north. The friendliest and most patient of servers who are genuinely happy to be there, even on holiday Monday of a long weekend. Hidden gems like this are increasingly rare to find. Highly recommend trying Tapas with it's flavour-packed dips and a fresh green salad with chickpeas. Perfect nourishment ahead of a family hike.

One of my favorite places to dine at. Service has always been so friendly and inviting. The food is amazing and fresh ingredients, every meal has been perfect! I recommend Simmering Kettle to everyone! Can't wait for the next vist!

Stopped by for lunch en route on a drizzly Saturday. Food, variety, service and ambiance were all great, conveniently close to highway 400. Highly recommended!

Very quiet and tidy place for breakfast!
Great coffee and eggs but suggesting that you may use the farm tomatoes for the side! The bacon’s great but the sausage could be approved a little bit better. The service was wonderful!

A new favourite all day breakfast spot! Other menu items look great, drove by this place several times and finally went in. Food exceeded my expectations.. gourmet meats home cooking. Will be back!

Was in the mood for pancakes and ended up here. They were delicious, fresh & loved that they had real maple syrup! The home fries were hot and spiced just right and they didn't skim on the cheddar when adding cheese to our eggs ( thank you !!) the strawberry jam/preserve was amazing !!!

Really liked the friendly and attentive server, so glad we came upon this place!

Fantastic! Came in for breakfast and didn’t want to leave. My food was hot and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. My server, Marie-Claire, is very polite and pleasant!

Sitting at my table, I’m listening to nice music and feeling very much at ease.

Our first time here but definitely NOT our last. We searched for breakfast in Barrie and stumbled across this absolute gem. Delicious food, lots of homemade options, great sides, and the jalapeño cream sauce is killer!! Their homemade strawberry preserves took me right back to my Mom's kitchen...
