The staff are really kind too they’re fast, patient, and they make you feel welcome even when it’s busy. The portions are generous, and everything always tastes like it was made with care. If you’re in the mood for a good, satisfying shawarma, Tahinis is genuinely one of the best places to go.

Sunday Nov. 23, 2025 at 4 pm I walked into this location on Yonge street in Barrie , noticed one customer ahead of me and one server behind the counter . I stood there for 10 mins , the server had an ear piece in and was talking ( obviously on the phone ) for the 10 mins I was there not once did she utilize any customer service by saying I’ll be with you in a minute she continued talking on the phone while preparing the other customer’s food . After she was done with him , she went to cut the chicken on the rotisserie ( still not acknowledging I was a customer ) I then said hello , she said yes what would you like while still continuing to cutting the chicken on the hot plate . Finally came to take my order I placed an order for two bowls one was habibi and the other was jerk chicken, she said jerk chicken was going to take 20 mins . I said ok let me grab my mom from the car so she can see what else she likes , come back in with my mom we were ignored for another 5 mins , I placed he order for two bowls and 6 samosas , it took her about 15 mins to make the bowl only to give just one bowl , when I asked what happened to the other bowl she said I never asked for it , perhaps if she wasn’t on the phone with an ear piece in she would’ve heard my order . Then proceeded to say place your order I’ll do it after I’m done the other orders I have , we’re now at 4:32 pm in the store all for two bowls . I’m not sure what the training is for staff there or if you’re just picking anyone without given proper training or supervision but I’m extremely disappointed in the service, because of this you’ve lost a customer .
