Taste of Shawarma Barrie

Good service and location to eat but i didn’t like the falafel, coz its too hard to eat. Usually the falafels are crunchy and soft enough to break or eat. This one was too hard to even pick up wity my fork. Reported to the staff, but the staff was really nice as they cooked and brought a better softer ones. Thank you

I ordered falafel, and got “FOOD POISONING” it was raw from inside not properly cooked and it was not wrapped properly as it was falling apart. I got sick right after that too.
Everything else looked fresh but won’t recommend ordering falafel.

First time trying in Barrie.. usually I eat shawarma in Mississauga. Something is off about these reviews, they have to be bought or these people have never had a decent shawarma before.

Got chicken shawarma wrap. First thing I noticed, no saj bread, is it because this is supposed to be Turkish?

VERY oily… very soggy wrap. 10 minute drive home, the wrap was wet and was soaked in oil. Went through the bag and all over my seat. Ended up falling apart. Mind you I only got garlic sauce and pickles as toppings.

I was told by the man at the front (not much English… difficulties communicating.. got asked 3 times in a row if it was a to go order by the cashier) that this is the “best” in Barrie. If this is true.. that is very disappointing.

Last night, my girlfriend and I visited Taste of Shawarma in person and got the chicken shawarma. It was absolutely delicious, and the quantity was pretty decent, which left us really impressed. Because of that great experience, we decided to order online today, expecting the same quality.

Unfortunately, today's order was quite disappointing. The quantity was much less than what we got last night, and overall, it didn’t feel worth the money. The inconsistency in portion size and quality was unexpected.

I’d strongly suggest maintaining the same taste, quality, and portion size across both in-person and online orders. A great first experience should be consistent every time.

Good, better than other places I have been to but could be better. Prefer basmati rice, and homemade white sauce instead of the commercial stuff they use that is made of mayonnaise. On a good not there meat portion is unmatched and why they get more points from me.

If you look back over my Google reviews, you’ll see that I never leave any negative comments. This is a First for me. I went in to taste of Shawarma very late. I have been stuck in a snow storm. And I arrived at the restaurant. The person behind the counter didn’t even say hello. They looked at me, then continued to prepare whatever they were making. After a few minutes. I left.

I got a mixed wrap do not recommend if I go back I will get chicken the beef taste and texture was off there were also an off putting amount of toppings way to much lettuce

Unfortunately the kofte kebab wasn’t edible. Didn’t taste lake meat at all. Chewy and plastic like. The chicken shawarma was overcooked. Staff are super nice though.

we just order with skip dishes, food are clod no spun or fork or anything init. the deliver bering food with out bag or anything that reason food is supper cold we can't warm it out because it is mix with salad. we just drop it to garbage. totally westing money

The chicken shawarma at Taste of Shawarma is flavorful, with tender, well-spiced chicken that adds a pleasant kick. All 3 of us got food poisoning.
The falafels looked nice and were huge but ended up tasting like chemicals so we didn't finish it.

Ordered beef and chicken. Tasted ok but probably nothing special.

What annoyed me the most was the fact their menu has one price and the cashier decides their own price.

When I asked them about why they are charging me an extra dollar the cashier said "oh that's the old menu". Then where is the new menu?

They made no effort to honour the price or even apologize. Gave them $50 and they asked if I had another 25 cents. To me this place just screams broke and it shows when they try to squeeze every Nickle out of you.
