Im convinced this a bootleg version of Thai express..seems like a lot of barrie restaurants are bootleg versions of what's in gta and beyond

Easily the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life. Save your money and go somewhere else. The pad Thai was basically soup, gross flavours and overcooked noodles. No part of it was good.

I was the only customer and it felt like I was bothering the sales girl. I ordered chicken pad Thai with extra green onions and medium heat. There was hardly any flavour and specks of green onions. It has been the same staff for YEARS, if you don’t like your job leave. Stop making slop for customers ruining the brand.

The quality of the food is unbearable. It’s dry, bland and is in desperate need of sauce. The chicken doesn’t taste like chicken and I question what the substance is. The vegetables were undercooked which seems great in a comparison to the rotten broccoli which is obvious on the picture if you don’t take my word for it. The two pictures attached showcase one being the mango fried rice and the other is pineapple fried rice. Please tell me the difference because it’s tasteless. After spending $50 I should be happy with my order but I regret this choice.

Good portions are small unless you 20$ for the bowl, staff is rude 👎

I ordered paiThai on Wednesday afternoon since it was GF , today is Saturday and Ive been gluten sick. ever since eating on Wednesday. Stomach pains, cramps and diarrhoea. They are not careful for people with gluten issues

I’m so confused with all the bad reviews here. Usually I am the one having a horrible experience when it comes to food, but can honestly say I have nothing but good things to say! I have had the Tofu Pad See Ew, Tofu Pad Thai and the Tofu Peanut Stir Fry with thin noodles and again with thick noodles and they have all been dynamite, full of flavour and spicy, just how I ordered it…. not to mention served so hot and fresh! The lady behind the counter is so sweet and patient… she is taking orders, whipping up delicious food and queuing other orders to start cooking up. No complaints here, all positive. Thanks for the wonderful experience time and time again!

*The “restaurant” is clean as is the food court and I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because of that*

Ordered the vegan phad thai w tofu. Ive had this many times before at different locations. At this location they put almsot zero veggie sauce. All I basically tasted was noodles. Very expensive noodles. Will not go back. Another corporation/franchisee cheaping out.

Presentation is good but the food not so much. I ordered a stir fry dish with battered chicken and the oil they used was old, when I got home I was literally on the toilet. Don't eat there they are using old oil.

Thai express is usually my go to at food courts and I always get the Beef Thai Fried Rice. Attached is the food i usually get at other locations and a quick photo of the food I recieved.

It was my first time at this location and all I can say is I was very disappointed with what I got. Here's a list of all that was wrong.

The employee was busy talking to someone while recieving my order. I ordered beef thai (pineapple and tomato) fried rice and did not have any of those on my order. It didn't even have any basil, which was the other option for fried rice. I was not asked about the spice level and the food I got was very mediocre. The food consisted of dried up peas, huge chunks of poorly chopped carrots, barely any beef, and flavourless rice. How the rice did not have any real flavor baffles me. Also did not put any onions??

My friends who ordered at the other establishments got a way better meal for the same price. Will definitely not be back at this location and would not recommend it to anyone. I usually avoid leaving bad reviews but this place disappointed me that much. Don't waste your money on this mediocre food.

I have had Thai express multiple times at other locations (almost weekly) and I moved back to Barrie and was craving a Thai soup with chicken. This is my second experience at this location, first time a year ago I thought maybe the worker was new.

This is the menu description for Thai Soup.
_ A fragrant, tangy and homemade bowl of liquid gold! Thaï chicken broth filled with noodles, vegetables, and topped with crispy fried red shallots.

My Thai soup at this location today Sept 9th/2024 as well as a year ago at this location had the most disgusting un-flavorful broth, tasted like they used the water they boiled the noodles in. The soup has no cilantro or onion or shallots like EVERY other location.. but it is loaded with LETTUCE.. like pure romaine. I picked out the pile of lettuce and the level of my soup went down about half way.

Very disappointing as it's the only location in Barrie..
