Excellent everything. My favourite west indie place in Barrie. Everything I’ve tried is perfect, their goat curry 🙌🏻 oxtail 👌🏻 Tried their roti & 🥹 jerk chicken roti with oxtail gravy, highly recommend it. Even better than my favourite Toronto places! Highly recommend. Very great staff, always friendly & nice, too. Hey Smiley! 😃

Not sure if this is a new owner but the portion sizes are ridiculously small. Orders large jerk chicken last night and got something I consider small, usually I buy in Toronto the portion size is equal to a $6 special in most places. The plate was not even filled and chicken was dry. Not much good to say.

I’ve been going to this spot for years, they had friendly staff, the environment was welcoming and the food was REALLY giving your taste buds a fiesta.

BUT clearly under new management or ownership because it lacks all of that. I went a while ago and thought maybe it was just a bad day. Thought I’d give it a few months prior to ordering again. Now after receiving my food today, I can proudly say that they take zero pride in what they present to customers. I paid extra for a large amount, didn’t know it would amount to a large kids meal. I had asked for extra oxtail gravy on my rice and beans . Yet looks like someone just sneezed a lil on there. The quality of the food just doesn’t hit like it used to. I won’t be returning anymore as a customer. I’m happy to pay a pretty penny for GOOD food, but this ain’t it. Definitely feeling ripped off.

I dont mind paying a little more for certain foods and cuisines, as jamaican food can be a little more pricey; but this place is horrible when comparing cost of food to portions. Im a big fan of oxatil and i KNOW rice is cheap, i got 8 pieces of oxatil and a tiny portion of rice for $25. I also asked for oxtail gravy on my rice as well and was charged for it and they still didnt add it on my order. Used to go here all the time with my wife and atleast the portions were much bigger with a much more friendly staff. Im not sure how much longer this place is going to be in business if they keep going at this rate. Definitely not happy customers and will not be returning customers. For $65 on dinner for 2 people i think its a total rip off !

It’s not the same as it used to be. Very bland now

Good cuisine with a calm atmosphere. I just wish there was also unsweetened salted pork.

Don’t bother. Not worth the insanely ridiculous wait time.
There’s similar 100% better, cheaper, faster ones nearby.

Slow service, Long wait.Came to pick an order which was already ordered online ahead. They were not aware about the time. The food came out from kitchen after a waiting time of 25 minutes. Even after that, the staff at the front seemed uninterested in packing it, she took an other 10 minutes for it. Instead of being quick to pack the order which was already delayed, she was doing some other stuff.

Have gone here for years. Likely the last trip. Not sure if they have new owners or portion sizes but $12 for (1) jerk chicken thigh and a scattering of veggies is not gonna cut it for me.

First time visiting. I have a Jamaican friend whose wife was an outstanding cook. One of my favourites was curried goat. I thought I would give it a shot at Irie. The curried goat was excellent. For those of you reading this and may want to try it the goat meat is very boney so be careful when eating. The portion was generous and the price was fair

If you are not the culture walking in, good luck!! The girl at the front sarcastically told me, for everyone to hear at the restaurant “It’s ONLY roti, it doesn’t come with rice and peas”. However, it should have been served dinner style, coleslaw and plantain. As per se on the board. Wednesday Dinner LARGE chicken roti. The chicken tasted and smelled spoiled. If you are not the culture walking in, good luck!! It will be cut short and served sadly. The girl at the front might even mock you with sarcasm.

Twice I've ordered for pickup and was told 30min, arrived and waited another 20min for the food

Both times the chicken was average at best, rice was cold or undercooked/old and the potatoes were either mush or barely cooked.

Go elsewhere the "good" reviews are fake

Cashier was rude and not patient to customer request.

I went to this place with a friend and found the food nearly inedible due to the excessive bones mixed throughout the meat, which I had to keep spitting out. My friend had a similar experience, so we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat.
