Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented—clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A hidden gem in downtown Barrie! We’ve dined at many local spots, but nothing compares to this elevated 7-course meat-forward tasting experience. Every dish was crafted with care and packed with flavour that truly wowed our taste buds.
The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and informative. Each course was explained in detail, adding to the overall experience. Highlights for us were the venison with risotto and the fragcois with cheese polenta—absolutely unforgettable.
Portions were perfect—not too much, as we all left feeling satisfied. At just $100 per person, the value is incredible for the quality and experience.
The dessert trio was a sweet finish (so good we forgot to take a photo): crème brûlée, a mini brownie, and banana cream pie—all familiar desserts, each with an elegant twist.
One of the best parts? The menu changes, so there's always something new to discover.
Plan for at least two hours—we stayed for three as a group of six and loved every minute.
Hands down, one of the best intimate and upscale dining experiences in Simcoe County—perfect for date nights, special occasions, or a memorable evening with friends.
So glad we found this place and we'll definately be back with anyone that wants an elevated dining experience without having to drive all the way downtown Toronto.

Had an incredible girls night at The North! Our group of 3 ordered a bunch of appetizers to share with each other. Cocktails were delicious, our server was incredibly attentive and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be returning for the full dining experience again soon!

Excellent food! Went for Localicious and the food and service was top notch. A bit chilly as we sat by the window but the food and service made up for the chill. Definitely will be back to try something off of their regular menu.

We enjoyed an amazing dinner. I had the Pumpkin Seed crusted Atlantic Cod and my husband had the Chicken Fettucine. So fresh and delicious! The ambiance was lovely--I really enjoyed the decor. Service was excellent--thank you Ivana! Price is quite reasonable. Our meals plus one cocktail came to $83.00. Considering the servings were very generous, price is very reasonable, especially when you consider food prices. Beautiful patio that we hope to visit in Spring. We'll certainly come back.
