Needs new games. Seems like they just move the old ones around.

Every time we visit the rec room the service is TERRIBLE. At our most recent visit we were seated right away as we had a reservation but after 20 minutes of nothing I had to go to the front and ask for someone to serve us. Majority of the workers seem to be there to chat with their coworkers or friends sitting at the bar. Once we did have a server she was extremely nice and apologetic, she was very clearly over worked and needed help. The chicken sandwich had no flavor other then burnt. One of our meals was completely forgotten. Multiple drinks were made wrong. There was lipstick around the edge of one of our water glasses. New management is very much so needed.

An incredible place. Cheerful atmosphere, lots of game options, a very beautiful bowling alley. The bar-restaurant is very beautiful, with many options and great service.

We used to love the Rec Room this is the 3rd year in a row we have come to celebrate 3 child birthdays together in one day. The last 2 years were Awesome but this year was the worst! They changed the menu to cheaper versions such as they no longer had the pita and spinach and cheese dip platter which was awesome and had the cheapest platter of nachos and specialty cheese that tasted and smelled like mushroom soup. The 3 kids didn't get their popcorn and dessert that came with the meal. The fish was overbattered and undercooked. the fries were not cooked well abd it seems as if they haven't changed their fryer oil in a while. They however discounted our Nachos at no charge and lifted the required 17% tip that after the complaint and therefore letting us choose our tip amount to reflect the service. Also the gaming rules changed. as a group we previously were able to purchase a game of bowling to play as a family as a group to 45 credits which was about 50 $ a game. this year they wanted all adults to purchase the $50 each to play bowling. that would mean about another $250.00 for 5 Adults to play 1 game of bowling. plus the kids would have to save 45 credts of there package to add to play as well.we did not do this as last 2 years we have been able to do it for $50 for the group. There is inflation and there's robbery!! A yearly celebration will be done elsewhere. they have lost our business.

The kids love it here. It can get a bit pricey but it's fun for the whole family. Lots of different types of games, clean and fun vibe.

Was turned away at lunch today for me and my family. Despite being mostly empty wasn’t able to be seated as they told us they were fully booked up. Fair enough, but we didn’t care for the rudeness of the hostess. “We are only doing reservations. I’m not taking walk ins.” could have easily been “Really wish I could accommodate you but we unfortunately have a big group coming in.”

I am extremely upset. I made a whole plan for me and my daughter to go specifically for this location because they have VR listed at this location on the website. We live 2 hours away but because they had VR it was worth it for us especially with so many VR games listed on the website so I got a air bnb for us to go.We ate at the Rec room (service at the restaurant was great) than we went back to the front to buy our gaming cards. We spent $200 on tokens mostly for VR. After making the purchase, we asked to be directed to the VR when the girl informed us that it is longer available. We wasted our time, money on air bnb and tokens and I had one upset 10 year old. Please update your website, very misleading!!!!

My girlfriend and I enjoy this place so much we brought some of our friends from work with us and they enjoyed themselves as well. The people that give this establishment a low review are the ones that make this place less enjoyable because they bring there 3-8 year olds don't pay attention to them cause they're drunk at the bar and they're kids are getting in the way cause they don't have a play card and keep hitting the game controls while I'm playing costing me my money. In the one instance I ask where they're parent was and the were at the bar drinking and I explained to them thIs is not expectable. The only thing I think this place needs to do is have a 19+ day for one day a week that starts 5pm till the close so there is one day that older people and people with kids can enjoy this place without worrying kids being in the way.

The Rec Room in Barrie was great for us! This past weekend we went with a sports team with 13+ kids and 17+ adults, pre-ordered our food (all delicious) and all of the wait staff were spectacular throughout our experience - accommodating with late arrivals, sweet with the kids. Arcade was so fun for the kids to enjoy between tournament games. Could not have had a better experience, very highly recommend.

Food was ok, but service was horrendous. Our waiters would disappear for an hour at a time and it was impossible to order anything. Tip was included already so maybe they thought they didn’t need to provide good service? The live music was nice, but incredibly loud and we had to scream to have a conversation.
