I hosted a wine and cheese in their downstairs space. Everything was perfect. I especially appreciated how prepared and organized they were for the event. We are already planning the next one. Thank you Bekki & Jessi!

Such a unique experience in Barrie

You cannot get a bad evening at “The Speak”!I was here last week for an “orange wine tasting” evening with beautiful cheese pairing and a very knowledgeable host Sommelier, Damien. Of course Jessi creates an environment unmatched in camaraderie in a jovial yet informative experience.And tonight I returned to learn so much about historical gangsters, beautiful cheeses, lovely cocktails and, of course, the scotches. An easy Highland introduction, the Tomatin 12 yo, followed by the Islay stallworth: Laphroig Quarter Cask.… I could have stayed there all night!Already looking at their next events in their calendar…

Friendly professional and sincerely fun staff! The perfect spot for a private party or just come for a unique tasting experience.

What a lovely evening at The SpeakCheasy! Intimate atmosphere themed wonderful by decor, lighting, music and of course, the Cheesy menu. With live acoustic guitars playing in the background we could enjoy the music and our conversation. Overall the night exceeded our expectations and we will return!

Awesome place. Incredible food. Not your traditional restaurant. So much better. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
