Wickie's Pub And Restaurant (Burton Location)

What a huge disappointment and no wonder why Wickie’s a staple of Barrie is now a complete dive. The only good thing they offer is beer, wine and Shirley temples. $12 wings were overcooked but the most okay thing on the menu. Burger completely tasteless. Liver and Onions was overcooked. Fish was overcooked and dry. Beef Dip way over cooked. We were excited to order the onion blossom as years ago it was the most on demand thing on the menu! But we should have known after trying that and it being awfully overcooked what kind of meal we were in for…definitely will never be back here for food/to eat again. Too bad horrible food ruined Grandma’s 93rd Birthday lunch. I feel so badly for front of house staff who can’t control the food coming from the kitchen and in turn have an empty restaurant with people waiting over an hour for main dishes that are disappointing and overcooked. We won’t be back.

We must have come at a bad time.
I picked my partner up at GO station at 4:30 pm and we were hungry and decided to get a quick bite to eat before a late dinner.
We were extremely disapointed with the service, food, and price.
My partner ordered a Philly cheese sandwich and salad as a side.
I ordered shrimp and calamari appetizer.
The philly was $20.+ dollars and the shrimp and calamari was $20.+.
The Philly was small enough to put in your shirt pocket and was tastless. It lack Philly
The shrimp was 3 dry overcooked and was desert dried boot leather. Salad was not food you'd feed to a guinea pig at a shelter.
Adding insult to injury we were left alone for some time. To a point where I had to get up and find a waitress for our bill.
Ceasar was OK and water was cold.
As a former waitress I would NEVER accept that food to bring to my table.

We went to the Grove St location for our anniversary dinner. What a disappointment! Of the 4,white wines on the menu, they only had one available. When our meals were served they were lukewarm at best. I only had a few bites of mine. The waitress kindly did not charge us for the meals and apologized but our evening was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. We won’t be back

Nice little pub recently renovated. Great portion size and service was amazing! Would definitely recommend over large chain restaurant.

Can be a bit pricey but that's because the serving sizes are large. But the servers always remember your name, and your drink of choice, some of the best in town.

Terrible service. It's not the customers fault they are understaffed.

I booked the back room for my hubbies 50th Birthday! Could not have asked for a better experience! The service was impeccable! The food was on point.. the atmosphere was perfect with a couple of pool tables to lots of large screen tvs for the leafs game.. our servers Tanya and Jordan were on point all night with our family and friends.. nobody had an empty drink.. the music was great and if to loud they would turn it down for our older guests.if the lighting was to high they turned it down.. I can’t thank them enough for a perfect evening.. I highly recommend these two servers for any future parties you may want to book.. thanks again ladies❤️

Worst experience had a pickup order on Sunday like only 2 table in restaurant full and all empty i wait like 30 minutes stands their still not get my order so bad

Nothing really exciting about this place. The atmosphere was bland, but what do you expect from a strip mall pub? I had the wings and they were garbage and overpriced. My kid had the burger which was overpriced but damn tasty (honestly one of the best tasting from scratch burgers I've had). Our server was fantastic. She was very friendly and attentive. While waiting for our order to be taken, I asked the staff behind the bar about food allergies, and I couldn't help but feel like I was inconveniencing someone for asking a simple question to the kitchen staff.

So this is not necessarily a knock at this particular establishment. But man, am I ever getting tired of spending a whole lot of money for a whole lot of average or below quality and service?

PS, replace those damn pool cues. A fallen tree branch would have been straighter than these pool cues lol

Standard pun fare. Friendly service. Not much else you could ask for. It's not a Michelin star restaurant. But it's a nice place to hang out I have a couple pints and chat with friends.

Jordan served our family at this location and she was awesome!!!! If you’re looking to hold a group event, book this venue and ask for Jordan to serve.
