Came in for a pickup. Listen, for what is it it’s expensive! The food is mediocre at most, pasta overdone and dry at the same time. Mushroom ravioli is a hot mess. Would not come back, would not recommend.

In the past I have driven past Zio's many times wondering what the food was like but not today.The homemade meatballs and spaghetti sauce was exactly what I was looking for,delicious. We also ordered an Alfredo dish which was absolutely perfect, rich and creamy. The phone was ringing off the hook people ordering take out( lots of tables in dining room as well) Trust me don't just drive by wondering I can't wait to try other delicious options the menu has to offer!!! Voted best veal sandwich in 2024.

I had the privilege to try Zios pizza and Caesar salad, I will say it was fresh and tasty especially the salad dressing. Carlo and the wife are amazing people. Highly recommended.

Zio's hits the spot when you're craving Italian comfort food. Their Ceasar salad was super delicious and you can take home the dressing for just $10 so you can recreate at home. I had the aglio e ollo with spaghetti and it was exactly what I was looking for. The pastas are served with home made hot chili oil which just added another layer of flavour to the already delicious meal. All three of us bought a jar to take home with us it was that good. Will definitely come back. Service was exceptional and really down to earth friendly people. They have another location at 400 flea market which we will have to check out as well.

AMAZING food!!!! We got a order of spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were huge! like a baseball! We also ordered the fettuccine and rose sauce tortellini. all three were 20 each but the portions are really good amount for your money. garlic bread with cheese. Bread is homemade. The rose sauce was the best I've ever tasted. Go try it for yourself. Best take out Ive had in a long time.

My favourite part of their food is their tomato sauce. It has such a great balance of flavours and it complemented the appetizers so well as well as the pasta. The food was great and flavourful. The food was however a bit warm instead of hot but I think it's because they wanted to serve both plates at the same time so one cooled down a bit. The portions on the other hand are so big. For around 10$, the portions are as big as some full meals from other restaurants. The main courses are also only around 25$ and they were quite generous in the toppings as well. The service was decent. The waitress was friendly and had a positive attitude which was cheerful for such a cold night. The place was pretty quiet and a bit cold but it was cosy with the wall of family photos and the decorations.

My husband and I found this place last night on a restaurant near me on goggle and we're happy we did.... The pizza is the best I have ever had and the salad was super fresh! His veal sandwich was cooked 👌 perfectly The owner is friendly and the place is well decorated and clean! We will definitely be going back every time we are in barrie!

If I could afford to eat out every day, it would be Zio’s! I live every item on their menu so much I have the hardest time choosing! Staff and owner and so kind and the food is amazing. Tender meat, amazing pasta and the sandwiches are amazing.
We ordered Zio’s takeout last (via UberEats) and were so disappointed with the food. We got garlic bread appetizer, sausage & pepper penne and the chicken parm (with tomato salad & garlic bread sides). The garlic bread was burnt, the oil from the sausage & pepper penne saturated the take out bag (and our counter), and the chicken parm was bland. Zio’s did not hit the mark for us, unfortunately.

UPDATED: The owner of this restaurant reached out to me personally to discuss the issue we had. It turns out that the issue was actually with the delivery service we ordered from and not from the restaurant. John Carlo invited us to come in and try them again as his guest, which we did and the food was awesome! I was totally impressed with the customer service from this restaurant and our first choice for Italian will definitely be Zio’s
We ordered two sandwiches. The menu said they came with onions, green peppers and mushrooms but we received meat and cheese only. Very underwhelmed!! Won’t be choosing this restaurant again!
