The food was great. Our server seemed incredibly bothered by our group when we arrived. We came in with a tour and pre ordered our food weeks ahead to make it easier on the staff. We were seated near the kitchen where we could hear the staff complaining about their day/staffing levels. We were told we could have a 16 oz or flight of tasters and then all of a sudden we all had 16oz drinks and 2 people had not even spoken to the waitress. I would maybe go back for the food but the service was very disappointing.

What the heck has happened to this place. We have eaten here many times before and it has always been great! Came in today around 2:30 PM. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant and maybe eight people outside. We were advised by the girl at the front then it would be 15 minutes before we got service, she then went to check with another girl and then she came back and said no it’s OK you will get service right away. She sat us at the table, and Yep, it was a good 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. In the meantime, all we heard was the staff moaning and groaning about how they were understaffed today, very loudly complaining. Horribly unprofessional. Like grow up!! Oh and another thing, what’s up with the girl who is waiting on the tables in slippers? Lazyily sliding her feet as she walked. Pretty sure that’s a health and safety issue. People were coming into the restaurant to get seated and the staff gave every excuse in the book not to have people come in. The restaurant was EMPTY!! I believe a party of six came in and they offered them, no joke, word by word “we have a picnic table out back in full sun if you would like that”. Again, the restaurant was empty! We watched numerous people come and go from the front waiting for someone to at least acknowledge them, and nothing. If this is how this restaurant runs, good luck in the future. I do have to say that the young fellow that made our food did a great job! It was delicious! Everyone else needs a class in customer service and professionalism.

For a Brewery, it was quite disappointing to find that only 2 of their 12 beers were available to go. Furthermore, of the dozen or so on tap, 3 of those were also out.
Having said that, the beer I did try was quite good, and a good variety of styles as well.

We had a very good meal at Bayfield Brewing Co! We went there just after 5 on a Thursday evening and the place was nearly empty, so this may be for you if you prefer to avoid the louder places. We had the Smash Burger and Greek salad with chicken. Both were satisfactory. The service was good, though our server thought to mention she was normally the kitchen manager and filling in. The beer I was most interested in trying was not available, something I wasn’t told until I tried to order it. We were seated outside on the back porch and some things (admittedly most people wouldn’t notice) showed some laziness on the part of ownership. Cobwebs everywhere, a broken lantern, chairs with rusted arms and still with a plastic “price tag” clip.
This was our first visit to Bayfield, which we highly recommend. Would I go back to Bayfield Brewing Co - I think there are other interesting looking places I’d try first before a repeat visit.
Great people. Unique place with 2 patios. Great craft beer, but could be colder. Good food, great time.

The good reviews on here must have been when the place was the Bistro because the food and atmosphere has really gone down hill. Waited to be seated but waitresses where too busy so was sat by a very bored manager. Food took a long time to come out. Waitress was apologetic and said so three or four times. Funny thing is another table that came in 15 mins after us and ordered the same meal was served first. Another table waited 35 mins and their meal came out separately .Came for the beer because we purchased a flight book. Beer came out warm and was not impressed. To be a restaurant in a busy tourist town with some really good restaurants, they need to step up their game. Will not be back.

Bayfield is a hidden gem in Ontario! The Brewing Company has great flights and are very true to their descriptions of taste. Had a great time! Reasonably priced

Pretty good brewery! Liked some of their beers. Out of the four I tried, I liked 2 and loved one.
Decent food for sure, sat outside and enjoyed the little strip of stores. Friendly staff. They were busy for lunch and waitress was busy and handling a lot of things at the same time, which I think she did a good job at. Recommend

Wait time was short. Drinks were brought out quickly. Mexi fries were disappointing. My 7 year old refused to eat overpriced Mac and cheese. He liked Shirley Temple. Garlic bread was just sliced bread which he did eat.
My friend order Greek Salad. She devoured it until a hair was found.
Apparently no manager was in and nothing was done about it.
