No longer owned by Angel's Gate, this place was bought out by Arterra Wines Corporation about 2 years ago, a large international wine conglomerate funded by an investment fund. You know...suits.
Therefore, the wines are double the price they once were, and the selection is based on only 2 grapes with very little creativity, other than the more expensive wines have bougier names.
I first tried their wine a decade ago with my sister over dinner in Toronto — we were both stunned by how good their Pinot Noir was. And then, just like that, they stopped producing. Fast-forward to last year when I spotted their bottles back at the LCBO on a road trip to NYC I grabbed one and took it to a friend in NYC, who couldn’t believe wine that good was just across the border.
I was visiting a work site in Beamsville and realized we were 6 mins drive away and said to my husband “We have to go before they close.”
Well… they’re back.
And wow.
The vineyard building is gorgeous, the staff are genuinely lovely, and as it turns out, ordering a few bottles in October for our Thanksgiving dinner made me a wine-club member without even realizing. My husband gives their Clos de Kew Chardonnay two thumbs up. I’m officially in love with their 2021 Claystone Terrace Pinot Noir.
They also offer a French-inspired charcuterie plate for two — house-made country pâté, local cheeses, and the perfect excuse to linger a little longer and enjoy the view. Highly recommend
We had a modern and contemporary wine tasting experience. We loved it. David was outstanding. His knowledge stood out. He shared clear insights and stayed friendly throughout the visit. He elevated the entire experience. Thank you David.
Had an outstanding experience with David who was so enthusiastic about the Terroir influenced Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs of Le Domaine Clos Jordanne. Loved the Art Installation depicting the Niagara Escarpment. Highly recommend any of their unique experiences.
Much to my surprise I found very good Pinot Noir here at Domaine Le Clos Jordanne, along with their other varieties. Their beautiful setting and staff pairs well with their wonderful wines..we look forward to enjoying our purchases at home and returning soon for another wonderful experience!
This place is beautiful!! I’ll be back with friends. Jen was so welcoming and knowledgeable she shared very interesting information about the differences between the wines. Can’t wait to go back!
I had the most amazing experience doing a flight at Domaine Le Clos on a Holiday Monday. Jen suggested wines and went out of her way to help me understand the variety offered- even simplifying the sommelier language to ensure I understood the undertones. I can’t wait to come back, this place is so picturesque and not to be missed!
Tastings and amounts small and over priced. Wine 1+
What a gem. Wines were not overshadowed by the beautiful interior and location. Tamara served us as she was wonderful. Will be back for the wines first, and then everything else was just a pleasant extra.
Amazing wines

We came to Le Clos Jordane last week for a “Terroir to Table” tasting and presentation. We were lucky enough to be hosted by Tamara, who is so sweet, knowledgeable and who gave us a really interesting presentation. This visit was certainly the highlight of our Niagara wine tour. We left with several excellent bottles. Looking forward to being able to order their products from Québec. Thank you very much and we hope to visit you again soon :)
The gorgeous architecture and views here are worth a visit alone! They have a tightly curated selection of wines, known for Pinot and Chardonnay. Worth a visit if those are of your liking!
Beautiful winery! They close at 6pm which was a big plus because many wineries in the region close at 5pm. Very nice indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy the wine tasting. Staffs are very friendly and she gave us a free sampling of the wine that we bought. Highly recommended!
We loved our experience. Jacob was welcoming and deeply knowledgeable about the wines: the Chardonnay he recommended was great. The cheese board was unique and everything was delicious...cheeses at the right temperature, gougères freshly baked. Add the unbeatable view and it was a lovely, serendipitous experience for us! Thank you everyone at Domaine Le Clos Jordanne, we will be back.
Le Clos Jordanne was recommended by a sommelier friend and quickly became one of my favourite stops during a trip that included visits to 13 vineyards in the region. The wine was fantastic (the Claystone Terrace Chardonnay was a stand out for me); the service warm and attentive; and the setting was both serene and beautifully designed — from the lovely patio space to the modern interior. I’d highly recommend it to any wine lover visiting the area.
